Adding another night, what would you do?

Ok this trip started as just me flying down in the morning, visiting magic kingdom and flying home that evening. (I had a free airline ticket credit) Then I decided after researching flight times, it made more sense to stay a night at a value and gain more park time and free airport transportation. Then a friend of mine said he would get me the park tickets so to further maximize park time I decided to stay two nights since I wouldn't have the cost of the ticket. The trip was still only $200 plus food. Then we decided my DH could fly down for an additional $200 and we could make a nice trip out of it. Our friend threw in tickets for DH also and upped us to two day tickets. Are you keeping up? Now DH said we should consider adding a 3rd night since it's only an extra $100 and we would get two full days in the park as opposed to one full day and one half day on either arrival or departure. In my head I am thinking this trip was initially only $200, now its $400 and my husband wants to increase it to $500 (none of this includes food).

What would you do?

If it's in the budget (only you know that) and you want to be there for a few days, sounds fine to me.

You're husband is offering an extra night in Disney and you aren't sure if you should take him up on it? (My husband would never do this, so I'm perplexed. haha!)

I would absolutely go for it: $500 for flights, tickets and hotel room is a bargain. Will you have the same opportunity/offer another time? Only you know that, but I say go for it.

Cheers! :goodvibes

500 bucks plus food is still a great deal. If you can afford it, it's a great plan.

Hang in there, you'll talk yourself into a week at this rate.

If it works in the budget and with vacation time, etc., I say stay as long as you can.

That's a good point - it would be easy to keep adding days ("It would 'ONLY' cost another XXX to do this ..."). I know I'd sure be tempted! :)

Only you know your budget. As others have said, if it fits into your budget and your hubby is okay with it, I say go for it! Have a great time.

So true!

I think that is perhaps the issue. I've technically already added 2 nights so at what point do I stop because "it's only $100 more".

Adding the extra night will give us two full park days as opposed to 1.5 which is a pretty good reason but it's also another day of food which means we will likely sacrifice a splurge at a sit-down to eat the cheap stuff and pack snacks. Also, if we do this, we will have from noon on arrival day until bedtime and wake up until 3:30 on departure day to do as we please. I think I am satisfied with DTD and resort hoping to fill this time but DH thinks this sounds boring and wants to add more park tickets. I told him if park tickets was being factored in, then the 3rd night was a no-go. First world problems, right?
