Adding an additional day...

We have an 8 night/7day in the park MYW plan booked for 10/29-11-/05. I was planning on driving down from NC on Sat 10-29, about a 10 hour drive and we are doing the parks Sun-Sat, and checking out the following Sun. However, today I was playing around with the reservation sight checking prices and noticed that an addional day ticket is only about $14 more for everyone. We have 3 girls who I know will wand to do MK first and MNSSHP on either the 30th or 31st. Do you think 2 1/2 to 3 days in the MK starting out would be too much? We also still need to plan out our schedule. Thanks for any suggestions.

When I was a kid, and the MK was the only park, we stayed there at least a week each time. Never got boring, and that was before Fastpass and the ability to be on Fastpass lines. Plus there's more to do these days, and the resorts seem to offer more too, should you decide not to just spend time at the MK... In other words, I think it would be okay.
