Adding a room to my 40% PIN reservation?

I've booked a week at the Poly with my 40% off PIN. Now my parents may want to join us on our trip. They don't have a PIN. Can I add their room to my ressie, and use my Pin for them, too? Do they have to stay at the Poly too, or can they stay somewhere else? Would I need to be present at their check-in? Our dates would be the same, I assume. Just wondering what others' experiences have been.

i think you can list up to 3 rooms with your pin code.. you are responsible for all charges though

I don't believe you have to be present at their check-in or that you have to be in the same resorts. You just have to do the booking and have your name attached to the reservation. They will let you pay however you want.

I'd like to know the answers to these questions too....Also wondering what would happen if someone were to book the 2nd room, but then had to cancel their ressie? Would the person (who got the 2nd room) have any issues checking in if I wasn't there? Or would they have to pay the difference between 40% & rack rate?

I've been lurking on this thread, because I need to book some rooms for some other people too with my pin code. We have a grand gathering, so I'm trying to book as many rooms as possible. OP, don't mean to high jack your thread, but I was wondering if the other people's names can also go on their portion of the room reservation. I just have some special requests for my room, and I would hate it if they got mixed up....

If the ressies are in your name,and if it is your pincode (it needs to be).I am pretty sure You need to be present at check in.You can book more than one room.Not sure about different resorts.Like I said I am pretty sure you need to be there to check in if it is in your name and they are listed as guests.They would not check me in last year because the discount and resort reservation was in my SIL name.We were at the same resort though.

You cant "add" a room to any res but you can book up to 3 rooms with your pin. Disney does not verify pincodes when you check in so book it and dont worry about it

I booked two rooms and paid for both. One room has my name as the guest, the other has the name of the guest staying there. It was easy.

Thanks for all the answers. As of today, my folks decided they do not want to come with us, so the info doesn't really apply to me any more, but hopefully others in this situation will have gained some knowledge.

My sister received the pin code and they plan to use it at the values, we are going with them but would prefer a moderate. Can this be done???

I added two additional rooms on my 40% pin with no problem. Not sure if you need to be there when everyone checks in or not.

You cant "add" a room to any res but you can book up to 3 rooms with your pin. Disney does not verify pincodes when you check in so book it and dont worry about it

Ok, so is your post above confirming that we could book at another resort for the 2nd or 3rd room? Or do all the rooms have to be at the same resort? So long as the person w/the PIN code is there at check in? Or is that not necessary either? Also, what if the person who booked it ended up cancelling...do the other rooms get cancelled as well? Sorry, one more...do the dates for all the rooms have to be the same? I'm guessing that one is for sure YES.

Ooooh thats a toughy. In theory the policy is you can book up to 3 rooms with a single pin. Nowhere does it say they have to be the same resort or room type. Disney does NOT verify pincodes at check in, cause really, how many people bring their pincodes with them? and the CM's verify the pincodes when you make the res. I suppose in theory if the pinholder cancelled the other room would remain but I dont know if Disney has someone watching that kind of thing, they may call the remaining guest and say "hey your room has to be rack rate" or something along those lines, but yes its safe to assume the dates have to be the same.
