Adding a person to your vacation

Does anyone have experience adding a person to your vacation after you've already selected your FP+'s and Dining Reservations? We are a family of four and may want to add Grandma to the trip -- wondering what the chances are of being able to get the same times for FP+ at 4 weeks out; also, if we'd be able to call Disney and ask them add one to all of our dining plans, or if we'd have to go through and delete / make new dining reservations?

WE have done this and it was smooth. It was myself my wife and twin girls who were booked to go and our other daughter had plans with Girl Scouts while we are gone. Well things got messed up and now she is going with us (as a surprise with her girl scout leader and her daughter) We had our dining and FP+ already picked out. But we were able to add them to our character meals and FP+. Adding the FP+ was on one hand easy there is a copy to other members and if there was availability it would copy, but if not like A&E meet and greet we had to change some times and have a little overlap in times to make it work. All this was changed around 30 days out. SO it depends on the FP+ you have scheduled and if they are hard dining reservations she might not be able to attend with you, but that depends on the group and how flexible you are.
Good Luck,
Mike

Chances of you getting FP+s are good, except for mabe some of the headliners like TS and SDMT. Just add her to your MDE and copy your FPs to her and see how it goes.
Whether you call or do it on line, you will have to cancel and remake your ADRs. They don't just add people to a table. You have ADRs for a table for four, you would need a table for six. Would be no problem as long as there is one available.

I added DD to my room.
Got FPs fine. Most dining.....I just rebooked the ones I could. She didn't want to go to all of them. The only one I couldn't change was Sci Fi, but since I was a 1 and going to a 2, we went anyway and it was fine.
Changing from 4 to 5 might be harder since it is a different table you would need.

I actually have the opposite problem...I will be booking dining reservations for seven for our December trip but may only need six... will have a better idea in Sept. if our daughter will be joining us. Figure it would be easier to downsize than look for a larger table...

Since you are a family of 4, in order to add a fifth person you must either be in a resort room with a capacity of more than 4 persons, or one of your family must be under the age of 3. They will not allow 5 people registered in a room that holds only 4. Looks like the Polynesian and I think their rooms do accommodate 5.

Add her to the restaurant reservations right away if you can. That would mean booking them with her included, or rebooking for a larger party. If not, it's likely you will be ablt to add her when you get there, but there is an outside chance you will not.

We have 7 going in Dec. too....but some will be coming at different times. I just booked dining for all. You can arrive without people and it is fine. Adding is harder, table wise and occupancy wise for the restaurant.
