I just recieved my disney packet and I had originally booked 5 day park tickets without park hoppers. Our original plan was to leave the day we checked into Pop Century and not go to the park that day and of course not the day we leave as well and just have 5 days. Now we are leaving 2 days earlier and staying offsite. 1 of these 2 days will be for travel and the other will be for a DTD day.So now when we check into Pop Century it will be that morning. Is it to late now to add a day to our tickets? Will we have to pay full daily price or will it be just the price for a six day ticket?

TIA

I think you have to use the ticket once to activate it before you can add days to it, but the cost is just the difference between a 5-day ticket and a 6-day ticket, which is only about $3 a ticket.

Actually, the reason you use the ticket first is to lock in the value of the ticket at the current gate price, vs. what you paid for it. If you make changes to a ticket before it is used, you pay the difference paid vs. the current cost of the target ticket. If you use it first, you get credit for the current gate price, and only pay the per-day cost when adding days.

And with the price increase last week, the per-day price after 4 days is now $5+tax ($5.33) on an expiring MYW ticket.

Can I add on the day at Pop or will I have to go to the ticket center at 1 of the parks to add it on?

Either works, whatever is most convenient for you. Might be a bit faster at one of the park ticket booths.

Ok, let me see if I am understanding you correctly... If I add on before activating I will have to pay the 5.33 plus the difference of what I paid for my tickets(which was the old ticket price) and if I add on after activating I just pay the 5.33?

Yes, that's generally how it works. Even worse - if you got the ticket from a discounter and not Disney, you may end up paying even more - the cost that Disney sold the ticket to the Discounter at, not what you paid for it...
