Adding a guest to a reservation?

My DH and I have been tossing around the idea of possibly taking the young lady who babysits for us on our trip in December. We are staying in a two bedroom at SSR. Is it possible to add another person to a reservation? If it is possible how far in advance can this be done?
Also we are renting points for this trip so if understand it correctly the DVC owner we are renting from would have make the change to the reservation?

You can tell them when you check in about the young lady. You then will want to give her a key without the ability to charge. You can bring as many guests with you without telling MS about it. They will want to know guests names when you check in just in case there is some emegency and someone wants to get ahold of one of your guests.
