Adding a day ticket

We currently have two day park to park tickets along with staying 1 night at HRH so we will have the unlimited express passes for those 2 days. We go to Disney every year, and have a ticket for their MNSSHP. So we should be able to knock out Magic Kingdom that night. Our original plan was to buy a 2 day park ticket and then visit, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, but with the closing of many things we are not sure if the few rides we will do will be worth the approx $600 for 2 adults and a 9 year old child 2 day park tickets. So since we are doing Universal first on our trip and our first time there in many years and with my daughter now old enough to do everything, we are going to see how we like it and possibly not buy the disney tickets and add on days to our universal tickets. I understand I can add on until the end of the day my second day. By looking on line its only like $40 total difference from a 2 day and a 3 day park to park for all of us. So here is my question will it be more expensive to add on in the parks on that 2nd day in the park verses the online price?

The difference in prices you see online of the gate ticket price is what the difference would be between your 2 day and a 3 day if you upgrade at the park. It's very easy to add a day on that second day if you decide to do so.

Since you already have your 2 day tickets, upgrading what you have is best choice for doing 3 or even 4 days at Universal

Thank you, I just ended up calling and adding the day. After talking with the family, it was $30 to add another day for all 3 of us, really a no brainer, verses paying $600 for a 2 days in Disney, 1 at Epcot where we would have to deal with all the food and wine crowds, and the other at Hollywood studios, the value just was not there with all the construction, and us being there so many times already.
