Adding a day- offsite or split stay?

We are a family of 5. I have a room booked at CBR for Sat-Thurs. I had to rearrange our trip for various reasons & now we are flying into MCO Fri afternoon. I keep looking for hotel availability for Fri night at CBR but so far no such luck. Which is the better option?
1. Stay at a cheaper offsite hotel Fri night. Uber to CBR early Sat am & leave bags with Bell Services while we enjoy the parks all day.
2. Book 2 rooms at All Star Movies (available) for Fri night. Take DME to ASMo. Then switch resorts Sat am & have Bell Services transfer our luggage to CBR.

What would you do? Any advice?

Personally, I think I'd do ASMo for convenience if the price difference isn't too bad.

Have you considered staying at the airport hotel that first night? You can then get up bright and early and take the DME to the CBR and drop off your luggage and then hit the parks. Depending on the members of your party, it might be a novelty to stay at the airport hotel and be able to watch the planes take off and land.
