Adding a Day- Can I do it?

I'm thinking about adding one day to the beginning of our August trip. I have already booked the free dining Disney Visa promotion.

My question is this.

If I add a day do they cancel my whole package and rebook it or do they simply add a day. If they do have to rebook is there a chance I won't be able to get the same package back due to there being a limited number of packages available

Whoa--NEVER cancel and "rebook" an already existing reservation. Ask for the add on to the current one. The only downside I can think of if it's a busy time, you may stay one night in one resort and then move to the one you have already booked for the remainder of the stay. Or you may have one day outside the package terms. That's not so bad.

They should be able to add a day if its available. Disney usually has NO problem if you want to increase the cost of your package

We added 2 days to what we originally booked w/the visa promotion - no problems.

Since you are adding to the "front" of your trip, just be sure you still check in after the dining offer is in affect- Aug. 13 or after.

Thanks, our check in day is 8/18 so if I add the 17th I'll be fine

If you haven't done it yet, do it right away. I wanted to add on a day to the beg. on my stay at POP. It took several phone calls to get it. At first they said that there was nothing at any Value, but after the 3rd CM, I got POP.

We have 2 days "added" to the front of our package thru AA Vacations...simply because we had flier miles to use or lose,,,by SEPT! SO, it is a totally seperate reservation, but we booked the same level, standard room and requested the ressies be "linked" together. I may have to go down to the desk and re-check in on day 3, but need to go and have our DDP and Ticket portion of the package activated then anyway, so no biggie. I will get to the desk by 6 a.m. to do this, however...breakfast is the most important meal of the day you know...FREE meal of the day...in a theme park...WDW THEME PARK!
I would call CRO and have them notate on your package ressie the confirmation number of your new/ incoming/day early ressie. Ask for them to be linked..they will know what to do..., and write down day you call, CM name etc., just to have all info handy at check in.
Remember, if you have AAA discount or any other current discount, that can be applied to the single day ressie. Only the package ressie won't apply any discount other than the dining.

I added a day to the beginning of our reservation with no problem. After convincing hubby to stay longer , I called back the next day to extend our stay another day- there was no problem! I think they check for availability. Now I have to make additional ADR's.........

I just added the same day yesterday! No trouble at all as long as there's availability... just ask to add a day.
