Adding a 1-day reservation at a different resort

For various reasons, I have to add a day prior to our current reservation at a different resort. I'm just going to stay at a Value. Since this is a different reservation (...right?), do I have to pay for it with a credit card (just like you have to with your $200 deposit normally), or can I use a Disney gift card? The resort reservation will not come close to $200, if that makes a difference. Thank you!

Room only will be the cost of one night paid at the time of reservation. There is no place online to add a gift card so I'd call the reservation number

You can use a gift card for a one night reservation, I just did it last week. They are able to take 2 forms of payment, so you can have the entire amount on a gift card, or if you don't have the full amount, you can put the rest on a credit card.

I think there is a place to pay with a gift card online, isn't there? There are several forms of payment to choose from and I could have sworn gift card is one of them. Since the Disney Vacation Club account is used like a gift card
