HaHa, there is a news segment, on FOX35 out of Orlando, about being addicted to the internet.....well I have to say I missed the story! I was on the internet, so I guess I will have to read the story tomorrow "online", from work LOL...

Anybody else "Addicted to the Internet"?

Who? Me? Addicted to the Internet?

I'll get back to you on that after I finished reading this and checking my mail and...................

HAHAHA

Nope. Not at all. I just sit here night after night reading, playing, talking to people, etc. And then I do it all day on the weekends. I also read stuff on the net while I'm at work. ;)

Me, I'm online all the time, and when I'm offline, I'm still on the computer.

Not addicted but couldn't live without it.

I am SO not addicted... well, maybe a little... I'll think about it after I read the DIS, my Emails, wander around VMK...

Ok, I'll admit it! It did not start for me with VMK. I became addicted during a famous trial (which shall remain nameless.)

I did message boards, private e-mail groups :rotfl2: Totally out of hand, lol.

But now there is VMK and I am lost all over again. :thumbsup2

Seriously, how did we all live before the internet?! A friend asked me to check the newspaper for movie listings and I said: "Um, hello, fandango?" lol Life is just so much easier with it --- although I think it's made us all horribly compulsive about checking things, like email ... ok sure I checked it 5 minutes ago, but you never know who might have sent me one... or I wonder who's online --- all things you do when you should be working ;) lol

Addicted?! Of course! I am a stay at home mom and my kids are in school, so what else does one do? Ask my husband, I haven't really cleaned my house since I found VMK! LOL! My house is starting to look like the local junk yard! I need a cleaning lady to clean around me while I sit and play! :sunny: Or maybe just some of that Disney magic! pixiedust:

No wonder we get along!!! Behind on SO many things since I found vmk and DIS.

Now, as for addicted to the internet - hmm... things I can do online...

-build and re-build web site
-share my graphic design projects
-learn new graphic design techniques
-job hunt
-genealogy research
-take on-line classes
-settle household arguments about what that person's name is that starred in that movie or that tv show or sang that song
-suduko
-mapquest - omg! tyvm!!
-read news
-shop
-find the name of the song that has lyrics stuck in my head for days
-connect with others through message boards
-discover place to add to my "places I want to travel to someday" list
-and on and on and on
(oh, did I forget PLAY VMK!)

The internet just may be the greatest invention since tv.

And you don't even need TV anymore... you can just download the episodes off the net :) lol

Ack! Mapquest! I don't like it! I always get messages like: "Turn Left on No Name Street" soooooo helpful! lol

You sound like my double! I just love my sudoku and graphic stuff! I haven't been doing much of it lately though! I used to love all of the psp tutorials! Oh and I have become the family historian, too! I have been working on my geneology, too! :thumbsup2

Also have a problem with Mapquest telling me the distance from here to the beach (takes 15 minutes) is 500 miles.
Maybe via Montana it is.

LOL - imagine that - through the world of the web and the endless players on vmk, we find a hobby twin! so much fun!

Genealogy is my on-going long time passion, spurred by discussions with my grandparents when they were still here. I have been labeled the "family documenter" by many relatives. You know your hobbies collide when you use your graphics skils to create an on-line photo album / scrapbook to accompany your on-line web site of your ever growing family tree! All so much easier - and able to be shared with the family - via (drumroll) - the Internet! yay!

Hey - I wonder if our little vmk characters are related to each other through some sort of family lineage?!?! (see - addicted!)

You know it's the same here, but I wasn't going to tell everyone that.

I actually know a road called "no name" even has a street sign with that name on it.

I don't like Mapquest ever since the time about 3 years ago when it sent us down a "goat path" trying to get from one place to another. I mean it was really a tiny trace of a road in the Florida woods. It started out as a regular road, then it become a lane, then a dirt road, getting smaller and smaller until the trees on either side of the pickup were hitting the truck on both sides.

And the worst part was, I couldn't get my husband to stop following it. By the time it got to the dirt road I was really to turn back, but oh no, Paul just had to follow it. But you know, it actually got us there. It was just scarey, I had visions of breaking down in the woods and never been heard from again.

Why it didn't send us back to the interstate I don't know.
