So I am going to give Atkins or South Beach a go.
My problem is I am ADDICTED to carbs!!
Bread, pasta, you name it!
How have you kicked the carbs???

Any suggestions?

I'm addicted, too. I find that the more faithfully I stick to low carb, the less I seem to crave carbs! Once I go off my plan, it's really hard for me to get back. That's the stage I'm going through right now - trying to get firmly back on plan. I haven't been that bad, but it doesn't take much of a cheat for the addiction to kick back in.

I think the best motivator for me is the weight I am able to lose when I stay on low carbs. It seems like it's the only thing that works for me. I also find I feel better and have more energy when I stick to low carb, so I just keep reminding myself of that. I started off doing strictly Atkins, but over time I have leaned a bit more towards South Beach because of the focus on good carbs that seems to work for me.

Mark a commitment and give it a try for at least a couple of weeks. You should start seeing a real difference!

Well, I was a carb addict too. So I gave up ALL forms of sugary treats for Lent. Since I was doing it for a whole host of religious reasons, I had this HUGE motivation to stick to it. And it worked. I'm not a sugary-sweet junkie anymore!

I was addicted to carbs too. I followed South Beach for quite a while. After about 10 days, my vicious cravings were gone. I have now moved into a low calorie & healthy carb diet. I found low carb bread that is really good ~ it helped.
