Added a day to the end of my resort stay question

Hello,

So we initially booked 6 nights at POR for end of September. We decided to go back and add on one day to the end of our trip (still at POR) My plans on the Disney app show the following:

Check in: Sat 9/21
Check out: Fri 9/27
Check in: Fri 9/27
Check out: Sat 9/28

We have MK planned for Friday 9/27. Will i actually have to check out then check back in that day? Or when i initially check in on 9/21 can i tell them our situation and can they handle it all then?

You can ask if you can stay in the same room, but it's not guaranteed.

When you check in for your first stay, let them know you have a second reservation and you'd like to stay in the same room. On the day of check-out/check-in, I would suggest going to the front desk ASAP in the morning (they should have an answer for you at 6:00 am at the earliest) to see if your request was approved. There are no guarantees, so be prepared to pack up quickly and store your things with Bell Services prior to going to MK if you have to switch rooms. You may also want to check in with the front desk the night before to see if they have an answer for you.

I've done this at Poly at lease twice & I have always been able to stay in the same room.
