I am not sure if I posting this tip or not (I do not think so:rolleyes1 ) My DS has senstive ears and we bought him wax balls (specifically sold for kid's ears for around $2) to help block out loud noises. It helped him enjoy the shows w/loud sounds.

Where did you get them? I buy my son those foamy earplugs because he too has sensitive hearing. Sometimes I swear he puts them in to block me out so he can say he didn't hear me!! :lmao:

You can get them at any drug store. My son has tubes in his ears and wears them during swim lessons. "Mack's" has cool orange ones. They come in a small case with approx 6 pairs- though they can be reused multi times.

They will be in the isle with ear drops, eye drops, etc. They also have soft cone shaped plugs that may be easier on/off and more comfy. DS uses these for daily showers. He is not fond of having the wax ones pushed in to fit the ear canal but uses them swimming because they are much easier to find in the pool if one falls out.

We use Mack's silicone earplugs for DS. They don't go in the ears, but over the opening. Started using them when he was a baby to protect his ears at hockey games. Now that he is bigger, he uses the adult size. We find them in the ear care section at the grocery store. If we couldn't find them in the children's size (they seem popular in our area, and the stores would sell out) we bought the adult size ones, and just split one earplug in half, using half for each ear. Worked great (and still does). He can still hear what is going on, but it helps reduce the amount of loud noise that really bothers him. Here is a link to their webpage:

We also found the kid ones in green, but he liked the orange better. And he likes these way better than the foam ones! And to make them easy to carry, we just put them in a contact lense carrier, one in each side. Slips right into a pocket...

Looks like we were typing at the same time...love the Mack's!
