Add ons - down payment, waitlists...

Anyone know what they require for an add on of 50 as down payment?

What if you have to get waitlisted?

Do you put a deposit down to get on the waitlist or only when the waitlist comes through?

If it takes awhile for the waitlist to come through and in the mean time we decide to add on at SSR instead can we back out of the waitlist or once we get on that list do we have to go through with it?
(In other words would it hurt to go ahead and get put on the waitlist for VWL? Either way we'll end up adding on there with luck or at SSR, but with 100 point incentive.)

With add ons at different resorts do you just have two separate due payments come out of your checking each month? And what if we added it onto our laon? Would it be a separate payment, too or can they add it onto the monthly loan payment?

Hi Shan,

I just added 50 points at BCV . Down pmt. was 20% ($840.00). I had to be put on a waitlist. They don't hit your credit card until the points are actually available. In my case, it was only a 2 day wait. I am financing the rest. My guide told me what my monthly payment would be on the new points, but that it would just be one deduction monthly from my checking for all my points.

Even if you are on a waitlist, you are not obligated. In fact, I believe that even after you sign your papers, you have a 3 day right of recision.

As for add-ons at separate resorts, perhaps someone can clarify that for you, but I believe they would just deduct one amount each month for all contracts.

And curious... What use year did you get?

I gave my guide my credit card number and gave him the go-ahead to hit it whenever the points became available. It was only 2 days, but there was a message on my answering machine saying the points were ours and our credit card had been charged for the down payment. Our use year is March.

If you were to add on 50 or 100 points right now at BCV or VWL, is the price $84 per point? Yikes! Do they ever give MB on add ons?
