Add On ???

We have been owners at OKW since 1996. DW and I have discussed adding more points, if we purchase a smaller contract, say 50 - 100 at HHI could the points be used in conjunction with our OKW stays? Would it have to have same use year (December)? I know OKW expires in 2042, in our minds we would rather spend the money for more often and longer stays in the near future versus extending.

You could not combine HHI points and OKW points and make a reservation at OKW at the 11-month period. You could combine them at the 7-month point to make a reservation at OKW.

If I am not mistaken, you can not combine different resort points for a single night as well.

Is that correct?

Thanks for the help. Since we have always preferred to stay at OKW it appears we would be better off finding the right add on in OKW. Does anyone know if all add ons thru DVC are priced the same rate. I see there are a couple of OKW listings of 100 pts thru The Timeshare Store here. Or we may just leave it as it has been since we purchased since the children are quickly growing and it will take smaller rooms in the near future.

You can't combine points from different contracts for a single night - but at 7 months points from a single contract may be used even if they include points from different resorts. In this case, the HH add-on points could be combined with the OKW points (since they are all in the same contract) for a reservation at any DVC resort at 7 months.

If a member has multiple contracts, a transfer may be done to combine those points - Home Resort status would still apply - so the transfer might only be beneficial at 7 months.

yes, all add-ons through DVC for OKW will be at the same rate of $96 per pt. see pricing for add-ons in this thread. i believe all direct add-ons for OKW are currently extended through 2057.
