Thinking about adding on at either BCV or BWV. Relly like BCV and SAB but the cost difference between the two might change my mind. So my question is: What could I expect the total outlay including closing costs and fees on a 100 point contract be through a reseller? Assume, for comparrison purposes, that I can find one, no points banked or borrowed at $68 per point.

As for the bank/borrow question, which I'm sure I asked before and forgot what everyone said: Can I make a ressie for VWL (my home resort) at 11 months that uses 70 points from the use year that the ressie is in and 30 points borrowed from the next use year. Then at 7 months change to OKW using all 30 of the borrowed points, 40 of the currnent points and bank the remaining 30 points that were not used from the current use year?

Thanks for any help.

Whenever you use borrowed and regular points, and then change your ressie, MS will automatically put the regular pts back into your accunt, but always ask just to be sure. If they make a mistake, they can always correct it manually, but it can be a nuisance. As to your question about adding on, you will not get a resale for BCV of 100 pts without some unusual circumstances, since the resort is so new. It would be unusual to have any BCV pts show up on a resale board, although I have seen a few. BWV does occasionally come up, but those are a hot ticket item, so you would probably pay around $70 per pt, unless the pts had been stripped from the package for the coming use year. Nevertheless, you will have to pay closing costs of around $400, depending upon where you bought the pts, unless you worked out an arrangement with the seller. You will also have to pay the current year's maintenance costs, again unless you worked out an agreement with the seller. Those are the most significant costs, there are minor ones for filing and changing the names on the deed, and I think there may be a sales tax that has to be paid, but I'm not sure on that one. Resales of small amounts of pts are the hardest thing to get. I've been looking for a year, and only found two that are the amount of pts I want, and both were stripped of current and future pts, so I passed them by. Keep looking, though, you may be luckier than I have been.

I don't think you will see a 100 point BWV contract. At least you won't see many many of them. Most of the major brokers have their own list of people already waiting for these types of contracts and they never even make it to a For Sale list.

Thanks Cruella and HBCat!

I was really leaning towards BCV and will probably take care of paperwork on our trip in two weeks.

If we add on 100 points, that will give us 170 at VWl and 100 at BCV.

Dreaming of saturdays thru tuesdays at VWL and tuesday thru friday at BCV.

Now about those incentives for VB .....:p
