Add on question

I am thinking of adding on approx 30 points at BLT (I currently own 91 pts at BCV). Does anyone know the current direct price from DVC? Also, when I added on previously I remember getting double points, I think current and previous UY pts, or something along those lines. For a Feb UY, does anyone know when I would need to buy to get those "double" pts? I kind of don't want to call my guide until I have a better idea of whether I'm really going to add on.

BLT is currently $160/pt - anytime you buy direct they give you the current UY so if your UY is feb and you bought now you'd get UY2013 going forward

I believe BLT is currently $165/pt direct. Not sure if BLT does but most of the older resorts have huge wait lists right now. If you decide direct is the way you want to go you may want to get on it sooner than later because they are taking months to fill the wait lists.

Thanks for the replies! 165 is pretty high! Maybe I should save about $1k and add on at BCV and take my chances with the 7 mo window!

This is what I'd do. Apart from the high price of BLT 30 points won't get you much. Better to have more BCV points and take your chances at BLT.

I agree. If you add on points for BLT you can only use those points in the 11 month window (home resort @ BLT). Your BCV points only apply in the 11 mon window at BCV. Also, we currently have 225 at BLT and want to add 100 in the near future. I called my guide about 2 months ago to get on waiting list thinking it would be several months for it to come available (especially since I am requesting a matching UY). He called me 2 weeks later that the points were available. We weren't ready so had him put us back on the bottom of the list. Called me 3 weeks after that to tell me they had a whole bunch of BLT points with my UY so he'll just let us call him when we're ready.
