Add On Question

At some point (not even necessarily this year--- but you never know ) we'll be looking to purchase an additonal 40 SSR points. I'm predicting that because of the small amount, and because we will want a Feb UY, that we'll likely go direct through Disney. (Our current contracts were both resale.)

So, price per point aside, what are the best add on deals you've seen? I get confused with the "extra" points, "banked" points, waived MF's that I've read about. I think some of it is more marketing spin (meaning that you should be getting those things with your purchase and it's not really an "extra"), so I get a bit confused/skeptical.

Developer points were actual one time use extra points and a free cruise was a pretty good deal. You need to pick each incentive apart to determine it's true value then make your decision.

I don't remember seeing much offered for a smaller purchase. Larger contracts are more profitable for Disney and that's where they have a little more room for better incentives.

don't think i've ever seen a deal for less than 50 pts.

to get a small benefit, try to add-on in the last few months of your UY - they will typically allow you to bank those pts (even though you are past the banking window)...

but that's about it. (and sometimes they are out of contracts with points in the current UY by that point so that doesn't even work.)
