Add-on question

First of all, we have two (175pts and 50pts) contracts both at BCV. In approximately one year we will be paying off both of these and looking to add-on. We plan on adding-on 40-50pts at AKV and VWL.

My question to you guys is if you are planning on adding-on, when do you plan to do so, which resort, and for how many points?

We have no idea what we are really doing, but we bought a 200 pt. contract at SSR for the BIG one. It will be like our anchor. Then we are adding on 50 pt. contracts one at a time (as we can afford them) to give us an 11 month booking window at certain resorts every so many years. For example, we just bought 50 pts. at BCV so that every other year we can stay in a studio for spring break. Next we are thinking about VWL so we can stay at T-giving or Christmas every two to three years. Hope that makes sense. It was the easiest way for us to figure it all out.

We just bought 200 points at SSR, which we will be paying off in full in October. We then plan to buy another 150-200 point contract elsewhere (I really like the idea of BWV or VWL) but we will probably deal direct with Disney rather than go down the resale route so may have to wait a while.

I bought a 250 point contract at BWV in 2000, added on 150 more at BCV in 2002 and just added on last week another 150 at SSR.

I use more of my points for the DCL and occasional long weekend stays in WDW... The choice of my DVC Resort doesn;t matter to me... My favorite is actually OKW.
