I currently own a 150 pt SSR contract. I'm now wanting to increase my points by about 100 but would like to purchase do it at a different resort (OKW). Is my only option a resale? Or can it be done through Disney? If so, can I purchase less than the mininum 150 points from Disney? Any advice appreciated!

You can buy 25+ points if you don't have to finance, or 50+ points if you finance at any resort direct from Disney. You may have to go on a waitlist if the points in your use year are not immediately available to Disney. There's a thread about how long to add on at sold out resorts.

Once you own, you can do as Bobbi says above.

However, if you want OKW, you really should look at a resale because the price differential between OKW Disney direct and resale will be large. For a 100 point contract, I'd call TTS and let them know exactly what you are looking for. Often, smaller contracts are sold off the "call" list before they are ever advertised, so calling ahead will be the way to go.

With a resale, just be sure you price your offer HIGH enough to clear ROFR. You're saving money; don't try to squeeze every penny out of the deal or you'll end up negotiating a great deal for DISNEY!

Thanks for the info! I most likely will buy a resale but want to make sure I know what my options are.

One more question re buying direct - is it correct to assume that Disney will only sell me an "add on" that is the same use year as my current contract?

Unless you are purchasing 150 points or more, you will need to keep the same UY.
