Add on paperwork mentions Spa?

Got add on paperwork yesterday for BCV and it mentions numerous times about SSR and the Spa, even one paper totally devoted to the spa that needs to be signed. When we closed back in May for our original contract at BCV these were not in our paperwork.
Thoughts?

Shan...are you sure they sent you the paperwork for the right resort??

I don't know why any BCV contract would mention another DVC resort, and especially anything about their amenities such as a spa.

Maybe they messed up and sent you SSR add-on paperwork? Certainly worth a call to your guide or Quality Assurance to make sure!!

I just added on 100 at BCV and the paper was in mine too.

I called QA but hadn't noticed it was in there yet. It had statements about the discounts at the spa, so I assumed it was a new perk. Maybe I will call back and see what's up.....

I got that with my BCV add-on also. I thought it was really strange that they would send us an entire piece of paper devoted to a perk that we had to sign and send back.

So what happens to those previous contracts that closed before the additional spa contract paper was in there? Are they not guaranteed the perk? I'm sure not, but I still find it odd.

Did anyone else notice any other changes?

We got it also when we bought our initial purchase at BCV. I thought it was a little strange also. Its' a whole long form entitled "Acknowledgement of Spa option". From what I understand it just tells you that you can get a discount for 20% off spa services.

The last paragraph reads: "The Disney VactionClub World of Attractions Program Spa Option is an incidental benefit as defind in 721.075, Florida Statutes and is offered to prospective purchasers in the vacation ownership plan. The Disney VacationClub World of Attractions Spa Option is available for your use for a period of 3 years or less after the first date that the vacationownership plan is available for your use. The availabity of the Spa Otion may or may not be renewed or extend." etc

Thanks for posting this... I was wondering the same thing when we got our BCV add-on documents. DVC offers "many" "discount programs" - it makes you wonder why this one is so special that it required we sign a document for it. Did we have to sign documents for the old "World of Dining" and "World of Golf" programs?

The only thing I could think of was it was an opportunity to advertise Saratoga Springs and all of its amenities?!?

I called QA today to tell them I received the paperwork. I asked about the Spa paper, was told they have to put it in there cause the Spa is not part of the leasehold, in other words SSR resort is part of the DVC, but the Spa can be closed at any time. At least that it how I took it. I've been sick and am heavily drugged!
