Add on one night

We have decided we would like to add on a night to the beginning of our stay in October 2008. We have used up all of our points already though. At what point time wise can I call and try to pay cash for the one night. Do I call member services or reserve thru the regular disney channels?

I'd call now since discounted rooms are limited (at least that's what they tell us). Call MS and they will link your 2 reservations and you should not have to move assuming you are staying in the same type of room/same resort.
