The closer you are to your UY the better the deal. You only pay annual dues from date of purchase til end of current UY. So, if you have June UY, add on in May and you will only have days of dues instead of months and you still get a full allotment of points for the current UY.

Unless I am misreading, I believe your statement is incorrect. Annual dues payments have nothing to do with use year, but rather calendar year. Using your example, if you have a June UY and add on in May 2009, you will start paying annual dues for that add on in May, if you have it set up monthly, or pay the whole May-Dec 2009 dues at once. 2010 dues will be due in January 2010.

It sounds like you all already know, but just to confirm I believe Canada and the UK cannot purchase via the phone. One of those quirks in the laws for your countries. But I don't see why shouldn't you watch the website. There is a possibility due to the above mention restrictions you still wouldn't be eligible for the discounts even if you went to WDW to buy.

Actually there are no such restrictions here in the UK - we can most definitely purchase over the phone, it's easy! Almost too easy...

Yes you are right. i misspoke. I thought the op said their uy was dec so I was using the end of Dec. as uy instead of calendar year. Your annual dues are prorated from the date of sale through the end of Dec.

we we're home at Old Key West last week.Our guide called us and offered us an add on that and i'm quoting "Was only for DVC members on -site till DEc.24th".For $102./pt At SSR we bought 61 pts. I thought it was a very fair deal.Now we can dream about the" Tree Houses "as well as "Key West"
