Add-on now or later for June use year?

I want to add 100 points (BWV or BCV or SS.) My use year is June. If I buy now with MB, I lose 2003 points but still have to pay pro-rated 2003 dues. If I wait until December to buy 100 points using MB, I'll only have to pay pro-rated dues for December. Should I wait until Dec. and hope the price per point doesn't go up; hope for a Saratoga Springs member "special" similar to the BCV offer; or just go ahead and buy now?

Hi, sparkspeak. Of course this is just my opinion, but I would buy now. It appears to be only $200 difference in dues, and that just doesn't seem to be worth the risk of a price increase, or your use year selling out. Actually, the best deal would likely be to buy now, and use this years points instead of MB.

Also be aware that if you waitlist yourself to add points, there are NO magical beginnings. I waitlisted to add points for VWL and I didn't know that until my guide called with available points.

Where do you want to own the points at. If you don't care, I'd likely go for BWV now or BCV now. BWV might be better due to the standard view options. Buy the number of points you think you need, maybe with a small cushion. Don't buy extra just for the MB option. If you wait, the use year you want might not be available, MB might change for the worse or the price might go up. You could always discuss with your guide and get him/her to help you you time it to get a few months less dues. Good luck.

I've stayed at each on-site resort at least once and like each for its unique features, so for me, buying at different resorts allows for more flexibility with booking windows. After my October stay, I won't have many
2004 points left! I think I'll buy BWV now and see what my needs [yeah, sure] are when SSR is available.
