Add-On info?

My family is beginning to consider a small add-on. OKW would be best as we go there a lot and the dues are low. Can you all tell me a bit about how this works with Disney? I believe there is a waitlist. Is it miles long? What price per point do you pay? How are points offered -- can you buy just 50 or 100?

If you buy a resale, are closing costs based on the amount of points or do they depend on the specific broker? I lurked at the Timeshare Store's website and could see lots of resales available, but most were at least 150 points.

I don't know how long the waitlist would be, but generally you have to pay the going rate which now is $84.00. They also don't do MB or any incentive on these waitlist points. If you are looking for a small add-on, I would let the timeshare store know. I bet a lot of the small ones are sold even before they appear on the website.

Thanks, Johnnie. I suspected as much. I guess we could at least TRY a resale, and see if Mickey doesn't try to snatch it out from under us. Is there a way to predict which resales Disney will try to do ROFR on? Is it all the tiny ones?
