Add-On Goodies

Just received my welcome home package for our 50 point add-on. When we purchased our initial contract in 2019 we got a gray DVC backpack.

With this purchase we received:

- Gold DVC Member Water Bottle (No Brand)
- White/Gold DVC Cooling Towel
- Two DVC Member Car Magnets
- Certificate

I know people always like to know what the latest is and we just received this yesterday. All of the goodies were definitely cheaply made marketing catalog type items but it did come in a nice box with a letter and a few other small things that made it more meaningful. With the new MB+ being rechargeable it would have been really nice if they sent two of those.

Haha to be quite honest the stuff they gave us couldn’t be worth more than $10. Clearly from a generic marketing catalog with some nice Disney wrapping.

Like they say, it’s the thought that counts.

It is actually a wonderfully, and extremely thoughtfully presented box. I know we were overjoyed to receive ours after we purchased a 50-point RIV add-on last month.

I did. We split up our VGF purchase into two contracts. Got two separate packages in the mail.

We received ours a few weeks after closing.

We paid cash and did it over 60 days. We received ours about 3 weeks after our final payment.

Sadly, just one care package most likely. However, the positive spin is that you can share the items amongst your DVC guests to spread out the joy - it's the gift that keeps on giving!

I believe the insulated water bottle is made by Corkcicle. I could be wrong. I’m sure Disney got a deal on them, but they are better than the fidget spinner they were allegedly going to give out.

They are definitely not Corkcicle brand. If you are familiar with Chinatown in NYC, the bottle is essentially what you would buy from a shady street vendor that is a knockoff Corkcicle that would have some type of name like Topcicle and would cost like $5 when they bought it for 10 cents.
