Add-on Frustration

Nothing worse then wanting to do an add-on, but powerless to do much about it. I am looking for ~50 points at the BWV, and am having no luck.

I talked to my guide and he cannot help me. DVC is not licensed to sell in my jurisdiction so I am stuck going the resale route .

Now I am stuck watching the re-sale sites in hopes that something comes along. I would like to do this pretty quickly, as I have a planned trip in May and would want to use the points.

I have left my name with a few brokers, but no luck yet.

Hopefully something will come up shortly. I just need to vent. Frustration is setting in - willing to spend the money, but unable to do so.

Oh well here is hoping .

Hope someone has a contract for you soon! I know if and when we decide to add on, I'll want some more points immediately. You know if things get really bad for you, you could always fly down for a couple of days and purchase SSR directly from Disney! They wouldn't be BWV points, but at least you'd have some more points to use in the future!

I am considering SSR as a possibility. I will be down there in May. Perhaps I would add 25 now and 25 on a subsequent trip. That way I spread out the expense (especially since I will need to pay for a hotel for my May trip).

Someone on TUG is selling a 50pt BWV...the catch is...no points until '06...but, they are only asking $75 per point. So, you could pay closing costs, and STILL have about $10 per point to "rent" BWV points. You'd come out about the same, and you'd get your contract now!!

Yea, I saw that one to. But no points until Dec 2006. I actually e-mailed the person selling the contact to confirm the point status. I am really hoping to have some points I can use this May, though I may have to give up on that.

I just need to be patient. Worse case scenario is I buy points in SSR when I am there in May. SSR would not be too bad considering the extra 12 years. My only concern is if there is a price increase between now and then. (This is the real problem with not being able to buy points from home - I cannot even go on their waiting list)

I have considered selling my points in OKW (82) and picking up a 150 point package in BWV (am I desperate or what ). But that can be expensive (considering commissions), a hassle, and I am not sure there is that much value in the 11 month window. In addition, I am happy with my OKW points.

Then again getting into OKW at the 7 month window is never really an issue.

Ok, Stitch, I am here to convince you to buy SSR, because I am waiting for 50 BWV points to surface. So far, I've gotten a better response from TTSS than I have from my DVC person.

I just started looking. My problem is, I want a particular use year.

Good luck to you as you make your decision. We too are waiting for 50 BWV points through DVC, March use year. We're not looking at resale at all for this purchase.
