I have 100 Feb BCV pts. I will get a good amount of KT pts when they open. Why wouldn't I want to add-on say 200 to my current contract? As opposed to doing a new seperate contract. If I ever want to resell the BCV pts, can't I still do it?

Basically, when you add on it IS to your current contract. The difference is that it will have a seperate additional number. We have 3 contracts. They all have the same contract number, but each additional add on is noted with a -# after it like 12345-1 12345-2 12345-3 etc. You can't actually add points to the 100 to make them 200, but your additional 100 points will be tracked the same way. Now if you by KTV once it comes out, your contract will be the same number with one of those -#s behind it, but it will be a seperate home resort. If you want a totally different use year for your new points, you would have to buy 160 points.

I guess one hidden question here is if he adds on 200 points at KT (that would be a xxx-1 add on) can you sell the original points? so then the xxx-1 contract would get "renamed" to the base contract or just stay at the xxx-1 with no xxx-0 contract ? Do you need to remain at the 160 minimum (if you had bought from Disney) or once you're in, you can add and sell and the minimum no longer comes into play?

The BCV points could be sold and keep the KT points.

I believe the KT contract number would remain the same, keeping the .001 extension. If he had other add-on's they would keep their regular extensions, eg .002, .003 and so on. Maybe someone who has actually sold their 'master' contract but kept an 'add-on' can verify that.

You do not need to remain at the 160 minimum. This would be no different than someone buying resale and purchasing less than the 160 direct buy minimum.

One could even add on 25 points only and sell anything else if they wanted and get all perks other than those that require more points.
