Add a day to DLR tickets?

Can you upgrade a DL ticket after it is purchased if needed? We are going on a short trip to California, and we are going to buy 2 day tickets. We MAY have time for 3 days in the parks, but we don't want to purchase the day if we don't need it. If we find that we have the time, can we upgrade our tickets to 3 day passes after we get there?

You can add the day by paying the difference between the price you paid for the ticket & the gate price of the ticket you want to upgrade to. Doing this means you lose any discount that you might gotten by purchasing in advance.

Yes, but you will pay the difference between what you paid for the 2 day ticket and full gate price for a 3 day ticket. You won't get any promo or pre-purchase discount.

You can buy another day while your there but it wont be as cheap as buying a three day pass to start off with.

You can do this--we just got back and upgraded from 4 day parkhopper tickets to 5 day park hopper tickets. We bought the original tickets online, and for the 2 adult and child tickets we were charged $34 total, which is the difference in price (online) between the 4 and 5 day.

The one thing I am not sure about is if you have to do this before the last day, we did it on day 3...

Yes you would have to do it while the ticket is still valid. Meaning if you are upgrading a 2-day pass to a 3-day pass you have to do it on Day 2, you can not do it on day 3 or the pass is expired and no good.

This is incorrect, as others have stated yes you can add a day to your hopper. Again, as others have stated you will lose your discount upon upgrading.
