adapter for laptop?

Ok here is a dumb question. Can you buy an ac adapter for a laptop so you can plug it in while you are in the car. If so, where is a good place to get one inexpensive.

I'm not sure if there is a specific AC car adapter, but I went to Radio Shack and got this car adapter with "wall plugs" (sorry don't know the real word). It was about $10 and I use it for everything. I can charge my laptop, MP3 player, cell phone in the car with the cords I already have.

You could go to your laptop manufacturers website and see if they have a specific car adapter there...

That's called a power inverter, and you can plug any A/C device into it. You can buy ones where you can plug more than one thing in too. We use ours a lot.

pant where my dh works makes them for Stanley. I use mine all the time! I can check with DH, but they sell
their stuff at Wal-mart, Lowes and a few other places.

DH got me 1 for XMAS and he bought it at LOwes for maybe 10.00 or so. I believe mine maybe Stanley brand.

THANK YOU!!!! I'm contemplating driving to DW in June and was just wondering HTH I was going to accomodate my laptop and my kid's iPad with just one power source. Totally solves my problem.

We just used it on our drive to WDW. We lost the car adapter for our portable DVD player, so we used the regular wall plug in the car. Then we used the USB port to charge our IPhones as we drove!

They also make one that plugs into tailgates - you can bring your TV, blender, etc to have a really fun tailgate party!
