We are thinking about doing the bike rides, snorkeling, float rental and aqua trikes at CC. Do we really have to book these excursions in advance, or is there an abundance of all this gear on CC? I would rather wait and see what we want to do (and what we have time to do) when we get off the boat.

I have never snorkeled before but I would like to try it on CC. I have heard some people suggest you bring your own snorkeling equipment. Can you just rent the vest there, or do you have to bring that too? Can you snorkle without using flippers? I am a pretty good swimmer, but it seems like those flippers would just get in the way.

I think it's a good idea to wait until you get there. The vests are free. I believe all the things you mentioned are plentiful, except I'm not sure about the Aquatrikes. When you get there you may want to just relax depending on how tired you are. You can just walk up and reserve the bikes, snorkel equipment and rafts. Other excursions do book up such as the banana boat and you need to prearrange as early as possible.

On our Dec 2002 sailing I did the snorkle, bike and float package. I think it was about 28.00 per person......The floaties and snorkeling stuff was good for all day aand the bike ride was good for an hour (but nobody timed us..thay are pretty liberal). I noticed that arond 1:00 they were thin on snorkel equipment but there was more than enough of anything else....

Hi,

We just returned home today from the 8/16 Western trip.
What a GREAT TIME!!!!!

I would suggest that you reserve items such as the aquatrikes and banana boat rides in advance, as they were very popular.

As for the other items, there is more than enough to go around.

thanks

Thanks for the replies everyone. That's what I had guessed, but I wasn't sure. The snorkle, bike and float package sounds like a good bet. I may go for that!

I would recommend having the fins. It was quite a ways out for the snoreling on CC. It helped to have them going back to shore after, We didn't relize we had went so far out till we headed back to shore.
We brought our own and used their vest for free. while out there one of the teenagers that was swimming by us started to take off his vest and the life guard told him he had to keep it on.
I liked it that they had life guards in the snorkel area.
