We'll be on the CA to Florida repo cruise where there are a LOT of sea days. If you've sailed with Disney recently when weather forced extra sea days, I'd appreciate hearing your comments about how children's programming was. I'm most interested in the activities for 8 and 11 year olds. Did the kids' Navigators change much?

Excellent question! I'm on the Westbound Reposition and I still would love to see the 'unplanned' at-sea day navigators.

I don't know what all they're planning but just before DD changed jobs about 8 weeks ago, she said the activities in the Club/Lab were being reworked and updated with many new activities. She also said that they were already thinking ahead to the 10 day cruise at Christmas and the Repo cruises next summer to they would have a suitable variety of activities planned.

You might want to review the Navigators at www.dcltribute.com/navigators

I've seen the past navigators. I was wondering about any new activities. There is just so much "stormin' in the lab" one can do.

Go to the DIS home page and click on Cruise Line News, Pete has a bunch of the new stuff listed.

We were on the extended 8/28 Magic. The additional sea days were treated just like any other sea day. They created brand new Navigators with all kinds of activities during the day. Disney also brought extra movies on board when they knew we might be extended.

Our extra days were spur of the moment but DCL is used to making these changes as port changes do happen. DCL will have plenty of time to plan your days in advance.

Mark, do you have any of the "new" Navigators?

"Stormin' the Lab" is the name they give for the time when they play computer games and build things with construx and have arts and crafts stuff. If you have too many "structured" activities, the kids don't have time to be kids.

Also they have shuffleboard and other games for families as well as the movies and the arcade. The kids aren't limited to just what is in the lab or club.

When you're looking for activities for the Days at Sea, look at the family activities in the Adult Navigators also. There are several activities that you can do as a family such as the putting contest or the Magic and Ventroliquism workshop.
