I know this is frowned upon, but I am just wondering if anyone has taken their almost 4 yr old to any of the kids activities that are for ages 4-12 -i.e. pirate cruise, cooking adventure, kids clubs, etc? We leave for WDW next week, my daughter will be 4 in 4 weeks and would love some of these activites, especially the cooking one. Also, it will give her an opportunity to interact with other children, since she is our only one. Thanks in advance.

As a liability issue, if something happened to your under-age child, and Disney did not know she was under-age, then you could be in big trouble. If Disney OK'ed it, then they could be in big trouble with their own insurance policies.

I agree. I think that the rule is probably in place because of state child care laws. Or insurance. Or both.

Yep you are 100% correct. The ratio of adults to children changes for kids under age 4... so that is why they say 4 and over. They ask for your child's age when you sign up too
