Activities for 12 y/o

We will be taking our first trip to Aulani this summer (yay!). We have two boys, age 13 and 12. I saw that Aunties is the place for kids 12 and under. I also read somewhere that the teen club was for kids 13 and up. My 12 y/o will be going in to 8th grade next year (he skipped a grade) and will definitely not want to hang out with the younger children. Are they strict at Aulani about the ages for the teen club activities? Thanks for your help!
