activities at Vacation Villages at Parkway?

Can anyone who has stayed there tell us about resort activities, facilities, etc... We are there in a couple of days and enjoy some resort time. We have stayed at Vistana, Marriot, OKW, and OLCC and always enjoyed any resort activities available.

Is there a restaurant? Is there a bar? Is there a bar by the pool? are there kids activities while I am at the bar by the pool? : )

Any help is appreciated!!

There is no restaurant on grounds, but in the middle of all the buildings is Arabian Nights Dinner Show. Where you pull into Vacation Village on 192 there is a large strip of stores and restaurants. We went to the deli up at the stores which was large and had alot of prepared food along with groceries. On the other side of the Check-in buiding there is a Wendys. There is a Walmart that is not far... we checked in and went right to Walmart and bought groceries and water.
They had a few activities when we were there. They had an Italian Dinner night which was like $7 a person. A hot dog BBQ by the pool... I think Hot Dogs were $1 and they had fixings and side salads, wtc. There is a bar by one of the pools. It is where the nature walk bridge is...we walked the bridge and saw no signs of any animals but it was a very nice walk. They also offer to take you on a Casino cruise with a buffet for like $8.95 a person. We were planning on doing some of these activities but we just did not have enough time.
Wait til you see how close this place is to Disney gates... it is a hop, skip and a jump away!! I will definantly stay here again if I have the chance.

As Noel points out, there is very little activities on the resort - nothing like Vistana, OLCC, & OKW (I haven't been to Marriot). It has great location, for 1-bedrooms, the A-suites are fine (I stayed in the B-suite, I didn't like it), but I also don't like having a 2-bedroom unit where the living room is split with a wall down the middle (due to all 2-bedrooms units being lockouts with a Suite-A and Suite-B, the wall in the living rooms separates the two sections). You will be shocked at how high prices are in the strip mall located next to the resort (you can actually walk it if you can figure out the paths in the woods), and as noted, Arabian Knights is just across the street. Instead of using the strip mall stores, you are better off traveling to Publix or to Wal-Mart. If you look at the RCI description of Vacation Village, the recreation area is the pools between the two buildings. that is it (at least it was when I was there, they were still building more building trying to cram as many units in as possible). I don't remember any bars, let alone near the pool, and the only activites that I can remember might be Bingo offered but I'm sure there is more.

I haven't stayed there but am considering it for next vacation. I have read that you also have use of the facilities of the resort next door (parkway international). Form looking at pictures it looks like they have a nice pool at that resort with a waterfall in it and I think I read that there is a snack bar at that resort also.
Perhaps someone could confirm?
