Will be able to take advantage of some of the resort activities (petting zoo/campfire at Fort Wilderness or boat rentals at the Contemporary - which I know we'd have to pay for) if we are staying off site?

Last year when we were at FW, they no longer had the petting area, they still have the pony rides. Campfires are open to everyone.

can someone list some must do activities at each resort? we're staying at AKL, but have ADRs for poly, CR and GF and dont want to miss out on stuff we should do there. by activities, i mean anything from taking a walk to look at something at the resort.... or hiring a bike/boat/etc?

Here is run down of what we have experienced:

Akl: firepit story telling in the evening: cookie decorating: animal hunt list(front desk gives you animal checklist and you return it for a certificate):arts and crafts at the poolside

Poly: hoola hoop contests: parade around the pool:

FW: campfire, smores, singalong with chip and dale: Movies each nite after campfire singalong

POFQ: the poolside bingo and contests. cookie decorating

BC: poolside contests with prizes: movie nights only certain nites with campfire and smores:

csr: We staryed at halloween they had trick or treating but at the pool they had pinata's and games and prizes not sure if this was because of halloween.

The above were all free but the smores cost a few bucks for the kit.
