Activating Regular Tickets

I just talked to CRO and she told me to go ahead an buy advanced tickets. I am going next April and she told me WDW always has a price increase and if I get a package, I will only need 1 base ticket for each person in my party.

So I ordered my tickets today. But when I go to the park, how do I activate them. It will be a ticket not a voucher. Do I stick the ticket in first, then my 2 finger scanner-and then that ticket will belong to me?

Sorry about this question, I thought I need a photo ID, because my name will be on the ticket and CRO told me no. No names on tickets.

Yes.

Just using the ticket activates it if it is the first usage. After that, on your next visit, you still insert the ticket first, then put your fingers in the scanner, then the green light comes on (should come on) and the ticket pops back out.
