Activating comped tickets and adding days

DD and DH were sick for days with a vomiting virus on our last trip, so the Manager at CSR comped us park tickets, which are on KTTWs. We are looking to redo this trip! I can see the tickets on MDE, but they don't seem to be connected, and when I called the CM couldn't see them at all. They couldn't help me and gave me an email address I could write to that would respond to me in 5-7 days. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Also, from my research, it doesn't look like I can add days to these. So when they run out (I think we each have 2 days), will we have to start over with new tickets? I was so thankful at the time to get something back from our sad and expensive week in bed. But now I'm realizing if we have to start over with tickets, these 2 days of comped tickets will only save us $86. So if we wanted 5 days, we would still have to pay $817 for 3 additional days, when buying 5 days in the first place would have been $903. Is this right? Kinda bummed. Although to be fair they are Hoppers, but not counting that because we avoid that to keep costs down.

On MDE it looks like this:
5-Day 05-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket (this may be the old ticket, but there is only 1 of these, assigned to DH)
1-Day 01-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option - Complimentary (6 of these, assigned to our names)

When I click on 'view additional details' they all say: "This ticket has not been used." There is also a link to 'reassign ticket' for each of them.

When I go to "MagicBands and Cards" It shows 9 KTTW cards, when I 'select a Card to Manage Its Status' it says "this card is active," but I can't do anything.

Any ideas on how to link these so I can get MBs, utilize FP+ and figure out how much additional park days would cost?

Comped tickets are never upgradeable. They are simply a means through the gate of a theme park, as a "gift" to you for your last unfortunate visit. If you want to add days, you will need to make a separate purchase.

Also, I do not think MDE has the capability yet to link Complimentary Admission. They may sometime after the first of 2014. So its depending on when you are making your trip. However, all you will need to do is exchange them at a Guest Relations location for a RFID plastic card before then. They also cannot be linked to Magic Bands at this time.

I hope this is helpful. Have an AMAZING "re-do" visit! Excited for you!! :cool1:

My understanding is that you have three two-day comp hoppers (or six one-day). You can have one person use all the comp tickets. And then the other two purchase tickets for the length needed. And I would suggest one of them be the child.

Thank you! It would work out better if one person could use them all, as Chesire suggested. But unfortunately not being able to link them to a MagicBand and use FP+ is a major issue. We would be going in February during a peak week.

Complimentary tickets are one way Disney lets you come back after everyone is back in good health and enjoy the rest of the interrupted vacation.

But you can't use the remains of the first vacation as a launching off point for a new vacation, in the sense of upgrading the comp tickets. (You can do a brand new vacation with brand new tickets with no gap after doing the postponed remains of the first vacation.)

For Fastpass Plus, if one person can make use of all the comp tickets then this part should be easy. Make FP+ reservations for everyone else and after you get there, ask the resort concierge to duplicate the family's FP+ reservations for the one last person. It might take the form of paper FPs for that person to hand one at a time to the FP CM at each ride at the same time the other family members swipe their Magic Bands. (This procedure would be more confusing to the the concierge with two persons using the comp tickets and therefore lacking FP+ reservations if you wanted to divvy up the comp tickets that way. However an astute concierge should be able to do that too.)

I have this same problem. I have 1 comp ticket for me from our last trip due to assorted problems and have purchased 3 new tickets for the rest of the family. I have linked the 3 new tickets no problem. But I have the same issues with the comp ticket. It shows up as an active ticket but not in the same area with the others. I'm worried that I won't be able to get FP+ for my ticket when the time comes. We are going March 2014 for spring break so it will be CROWDED and I'm not convinced that I'll be able to copy over the FP+ from the other 3 to the 1 if FP+ are all "sold out" by the time we get there. Ugh. This is stressing me out - so much that I'm considering ditching the comp ticket for now and just buying a new ticket for myself. How stupid is that...

Thanks everyone. I'm not ready to purchase park tickets because we don't even have airfare yet, and are getting close to the 45d refund period. I am a planner, but this whole FP+ goes even beyond my love of planning and complicates things.

You could buy the new ticket to book your Fstpass Plus reservations wth but when you get there, never submit the ne icket but intead submit the comp ticket at registration for relinking.

If the concierge is not able to copy the rest of the family's FP+ to your account, Guest Sevices should be able to do that. It's not impossible; just requires some skills, some imagination (Disney's got a lot of that), and human touch. To mak it easier, book all the FP+s the same for each other family memer.

Is there any way to print out the FP+ reservations on paper in advance?
