Acting?

If you wanted to act, how would you get started?

I found a few agents Disney Channel Stars have, and it gives an email address and a phone number.

I know I wont be able to do it, but it I ever did, what do I do?

Acting and singing.

MY PASSION.

Do I call up there?
Do I email them?



P.S:
( I might actually take my dad aside and ask him if I could get started with the "acting" thing. Its my passion, its my dream, and ive decided [because you all helped me] that I should go for it.

Like someone said, " You only have one life and one chance to live it. "

And this is the only life I have. AND IM GONNA MAKE MY DREAM COME TRUE.

I just hope it all works out. )

Well, I bet if you tried out for local musicals, school plays, that would be a great practice to sing and act! And if the DC agents have phone numbers and email, then you should definently keep them and contact them when you think is best. Good luck, I hope it all works out!

look for local SHOW STOPPERS. you get a cool t-shirt, and you can perform with other people that love the same things.

if you want to act look online for local acting agencies in your area
go try out
that's what i did
but when you try out be ready for rejection
i have faced a lot of rejection
i finally got accepted as a maybe at page parks
that is were hilary duff got dicovered
and so know i am training classes and in the fall they will tell me if i can be a part of the company or not
it is a lot of fun and hard work
but it is worth it

I sent you a PM with some information.

Deffinatly talk to your parents and tell them this is your passion. Be ready for rejection...and lots of it. However, if you can handle that, and your parents can handle that, then I think you will be fine.

Check out agencies in your local area, student films, extra castings. actorsaccess.com is a great audition website, that is reputable. Be extremely careful, dont dish out money for any classes promising to "make you a star." Personally I have found Barbizon, John Robert Powers, and IMT to be a waste of money for what you get.

I would probably try emailing them.
And work in local theatres.

You have to start somewhere.
