I thought I'd ask my question here before I start research on the internet....
My DD is a HS Senior and is taking 3 ACP (Advanced College Project) courses this year offered through a university in our state (she's been accepted to that university and will be attending). We paid tuition directly to the univerity at a rate of $25/credit hour; total of $225. We also paid a total of $255 to the high school for textbook rental and subject fees for the ACP courses.
We have a 529 plan for our DD. Is the tuition that we paid for the ACP courses a qualified education expense, therefore, allowing us to withdraw funds as reimbursement? I'm assuming yes.
How about the textbook rental and subject fees? I'm thinking no since those fees weren't paid directly to the university?
TIA for any info anyone has!
Debbie
