Acorn Heaven!

The squirrels are having a feast outside my front door this past couple of weeks. Munch, munch, munch.....

They don't much clean up after themselves, though.....I have empty nut shells anywhere.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to use them? I've heard if you grind them up, they work well as mulch and keep the soil loose. But I have no idea how to accomplish this easily.

Any ideas?

Any OTHER ideas???

Or am I doomed to live in a sea of shells every fall......

How about making a necklace, spray painting it lime green, and wearing it to DISCON!! No? I didn't think so.......

I don't really have any other suggestions Gina, but while I was surfing through cyber space looking for ideas, I stumbled upon the site of the Moose Dung Gazette. No, I didn't find anything there either (well, not THAT anyway...lol), except for this, which I'm thinking of putting at the bottom of my signature!
