ACL reconstruction, anyone?

Has anybody on the Dis had ACL reconstruction? I am 10 days post-op right now and I'm so happy I'm actually able to 'walk' with my crutches! The first couple of days were hard but each day is getting easier.

This wasn't my first ACL reconstruction, I have had both of my ACL's reconstructed now and my left knee done twice!

So, I was just wondering if anybody else has gone through this surgery.

Me. I had a torn meniscus and they had to reconstruct my ACL too. I fell down a flight of stairs. What did you do?

Anyway, surgery was a breeze and PT was really a piece of cake.

My DH had his ACL surgery about 18 months ago, I remember the recovery was long and hard for him. Good luck to you!

My son had his ACL, LCL and meniscus repaired 2 weeks ago. He tore up his knee pretty good while snowboarding. It's tough, swelling is bad. But he's happy he can walk without crutches now and he can drive again. PT is going well. So, I'd say it's a success.
