All of a sudden my "60-days-out" day is here, and I don't know what to do!

How essential is it to make PS for supper at the DLH restaurants? And is it a fact that Blue Bayou will be closed during my trip? That was the one restaurant I was excited to visit. :teeth:

So, any recs for our trip? We typically make a view PS for our absolute favorite places (and character meals) when we go to WDW but mostly we like to wing it. Will that strategy be a bad one for DL?

We are going Oct 5-10, taking Saturday to go to the SD Zoo. We have three kids (girl 6 1/2, girl 4 1/2, boy 2). Girls adore Princesses, boy loves Mickey & Pooh.

Thanks, I feel lost about planning this trip... it just seems so different from planning my WDW trips!

During the time you're there, I'd make res. for the Princess lunch or dinner at Ariel's grotto. I'd also make res. for a character meal more in line for you DS. I hear that the DL breakfast 'may' soon be Pooh, but it was still rumor last I heard.
If you want to do Blue Bayou, I'd recommend res. as soon as you can make them.
Other than that, there aren't any other "must eats" that I would say you'd feel disappointed if you didn't do. Other's have talked about a number of other places they really like, but for how you describe your family, I'd make sure to do these, and from there see where your interests take you.

Definitely the princess lunch/dinner at Ariel's. It hasn't started yet, so I haven't heard any reviews, but it's the only place to see multiple princesses at a character meal.

A must do for us is Goofy's Kitchen. There is always such a variety of characters that it is good for boys and girls. Even when I don't plan a PS, saying we are going to skip on this trip, we still end up going.

As for Blue Bayou, it is still just rumor that it and Pirates will be closed this fall. The other rumors are that the closure is being pushed out to after New Year's. Just try calling and see if they will give you a PS.
