My mom just told me that my brother is bringing his girlfriend and her two children to mom's house on Christmas. I had originally understood they weren't coming. I must run out to get something for them now!!

I wonder how crowded it'll be if I go around 10pm. sigh.

Anyone else making a late-evening run?

I could give the 15yr old cash, but the 7 yr old wouldn't be impressed with that.

I'm so stinking tired! I had to be at work at 7am this morning, then baked all afternoon. I'm ready for bed now!!!

I went to wal mart earlier and it wasn't too bad, the got plenty of cashiers and not many people!

Not like Toys r us, it was a nightmare!!! I was looking for a fashion fever ken and I went there to check, OMG! they got all registers open but the lines were mile long, the barbie aile was nuts, everywhere was busy!

I went around 10 last night - - - I've never seen it that bad before! And, every time after I leave, I say I'm never going back to WM. It's just too busy.

I have to go to Best Buy tomorrow morning. I ordered a DVD and had it shipped just so I wouldn't have to run around the corner at lunchtime. Well, it shipped on 12/13 and isn't here yet. And the tracking site says check back in 24 hours ( which it has said for 3 days now ). So I ordered it again and will pick it up at the store. Of course the one around the corner is out of stock so I have to drive 30 minutes ( in this traffic - 50 minutes ) one way to pick the bugger up. That is - IF I get an email back telling me it is ready.

Why was I so into working through lunch instead of shopping?!?!?

i just got back-OH THE LINES! but i part of it is because they close at 6 tomorrow and don't reopen till monday at 7 am (lots of people doing standard grocery shopping).

We just got back from a fun filled day of shopping...NOT. LOL We were in Toys R Us earlier and the check out lines weren't bad at all in the electronics dept. I never even looked to see how bad they were elsewhere.

Some of the lines in the mall were a little long, but they seemed to move along pretty good. In Sears though, their computers were messing up. There weren't many people there, but the wait was long. In Penney's, there were 20 or so people in line and we went thru that one in about 1/4 the time of Sears. All others were manageable.

Ok, just got back. It was pretty packed, but not the horrific experience I figured it would be.

There were NO shopping carts when we got there! That was ok for me, I wasn't going for very many items, and had my DD13 with me. It's actually much quicker to get where I need to go with no cart.

Check-out line wasn't terrible. With just 6 items I did the self-checkout. Waited behind one guy with one item. I was home 30 mins after I left. I AM OFFICIALLY FINISHED ALL CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!

Tonight we spent an hour and a half doing six stores, we spent the next hour and a half doing WalMart. 'Nuff said....

I did walmart, grocery store, village inn for pie, old navy, bed bath beyond and bath & body works.

All I know what I needed was village inn and grocery store...done in 2 hours...there was noone out tongiht and I was glad!!!

Went to Walmart this afternoon to pick up a few last minute items. The store was VERY crowded. The registers where not too bad. The problem was getting home. What normal takes me 10 minutes to get home took 30 minutes.

I have to go to Circuit City this morning to pick up something I ordered online yesterday for DH. I am planning on getting there as soon as they open at 8. I am hoping I can get in and out of there quick!!
