We arrive on Sunday, and I completely forgot to send a request.

We will arrive fairly early in the morning. I don't expect our room to be ready. Will I be able to voice a request during check in or do I just get what I get at this point?

I have faith that we will get a good view or at least I hope:flower3:

I think being early you should not have a problem. We have never requested a room before our stay. I have always asked what's available at checkin. I always ask for top floors end of hall away from ice rooms. This is also on my Loews You First account. You could try calling, it's worth a try. I look at it this way, you have some room reserved.

imo unless it's a rewards perc or slow time of year, very unlikely to get any sort of upgrade from the actual category of room you booked i.e. preferred view.

The OP I think wanted to request a certain room number if it's available for the room category they paid for. I don't think they are looking for a free upgrade at check in.:thumbsup2

Not asking for an upgrade, free or paid for. But I am aware that there are better rooms than others in the category I booked. I'm not sure why you assumed I was trying to get something extra.

Just hoping for a view other than the dumpster. Thanks for the words of encouragement Bluer.:thumbsup2 I was thinking the same thing.

:confused:many who haven't ventured to Universal onsite post here that they are under the impression that U operates the same as Disney as to complimentary upgrades. Since you specifically mentioned faxing a room request (which is oft mentioned re disney resorts and rarely on the U boards) I thought you might be a 1st time visitor & and wanted to give you a head's up. No flames were intended to be ignited, just trying to be informative:confused3.

btw, we've stayed @ RP many times, never have had anything approaching a bad view:goodvibes, even the one of international drive off in the distance is interesting imo.

On the contrary, there is an entire thread about people's room assignments, and many many many posts about faxing the room requests.

Thanks for the encouragement about the view though.

if you say so, i haven't seen it, haven't looked for it either :laughing:as i've always been well taken care of when staying onsite. Do recall there used to be a thread with views from the rooms that would surface now & again.

Regardless, i'm all for whatever makes a person happy in their planning phase:thumbsup2. Make sure to come back & let us know if you were satisified with your room assignment.
