Shoot! I overslept and Christian missed the bus. And wouldn't you know the car's in the shop so I have no transportation. The neighbors have gone to work. Poo! I have a lot of cooking and baking to do today and Christian is no help in the kitchen. Plus I'll have to stop every little bit to feed, diaper, and walk him and hope the pies don't burn. Bleah! I am kicking myself.

I wonder if I could get him to walk 2 miles to school :scratchin hmmm...maybe not.

I wish I lived by you, I'd come and drive y'all over. I hate it when plans get messed up.........

I tied one on Sunday night. Dh was "running too late" to take little son to preschool, so I was going to take him. But when I got up, my head was spinning. So I didn't trust myself in a car. So he didn't go. I was to go shopping yesterday, but by the time I felt all right, it was too late to take him. So I had to decide between shopping with him or staying home. I stayed home.

Hopefully you can get some done today.............does he take a nap at all?

Can you call a taxi, if it's only 2 miles, you can hop in the cab with him drop him off and hop back in for less than say, $10 ?

Read her quote in signature... I believe he is physically disabled...

oops - sorry. I reread and now feel stupid.

:goodvibes That's okay, I should have clarified that. I guess it did sound weird. Christian is very mentally handicapped. He walks but he has mobility issues. I wouldn't really try to make him walk 2 miles, I'd end up carrying him and he weighs 100lbs. (but just for the record, I CAN still carry him--I'm a tater-fed woman :teeth: )

So far he has destroyed the kitchen once(and I madehim clean up his mess :smooth: ) He took off his diaper and walked around naked. He dropped the eggs. I have already locked him in his room once--he has music and toys in there, so it's not really much punishment.<sigh> Christian doens't mean to be a bother. He has the thoughts of a 1yo--play, play, play.

Here he comes with his jacket in hand. I guess we'll go for a walk now. I hope nobody minds Publix pies this year. :joker:

I'm sure no one will mind.
You sound like a great mom and Christian sounds like a great little boy. :)

Aww, thanks for the offer. You don't know what your getting into, obviously, but thanks :joker:

And no, he doesn't nap. He has all the energy of a normal 11yo and the abilites of a 1-2yr old

Ah, well, I thought he might.

What's a ride in the car between friends?? :confused3

Hang in there! :grouphug:

Publix pies sound great! Enjoy the day with your son and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Good idea. If I had any money on me, I'd do that :thumbsup2

For future reference they also take check cards and credit cards.
Take this from someone that loses their keys all the time, so often that I have 3 sets in the house. :rolleyes1

Holy cow, woman. I can pick up DD who weighs all of 56lbs, but I sure can not CARRY her! Her legs are way too long.

Thanks for the vibes. I "open mouth and insert foot" without thinking. Hopefully you can still get some things done today! I am all alone today and have done NOTHING! Maybe I should take a shower or something...

:rotfl: :rotfl: Oh, sorry. Struck me funny. :teeth:

Well, some good news. I've managed to get one pumpkin pie and some banana bread muffins done. The collards are cooking, the green beans and carrot casserole is cooling, and the cranberry sauce is done. Still need to wash the lettuce, cook the hamburger meat and assemble the chili. I set Christian down to watch his favorite movie,"Fantasia", but he's protesting. He's laying on the couch with his pants off, facing the wall. i really don't need to see his hiney today :rotfl: Thank goodness my mother is cooking the bird.

Well, you got tons more than me done! :thumbsup2 I still haven't done anything, actually. I'm not a morning person though. I'll get right on everything this afternoon and evening. I don't have to cook, just clean, pack, shop, and go.
