Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

PALental rights-that's a good one! :lmao:
I know it was bad, but something made me do it!!
I love the fish & chips at England. We had a bird steal one off our table once when we were eating outdoors. At the same meal, Trey was holding a french fry up while he was eating it and a bird snatched that too. He was so sad. He looked at me and said, "French fry's all gone Mommy!" :sad1: He looked like he lost his best friend.
Hi Linnie
wavey.gif
, as I have said in previous installment the WDW birds stress me out. Sweet Trey, poor little guy . Those birds need to learn some manners.

I love your pictures! You do a great job. Buzz thinks he's an excellent photographer, but I think I'm better. ;)
Thank you, I am lucky with the pictures. I take way too many, but then I have a lot to choose from.
It's hard to forget and get over ignorance. We were in the store yesterday and Trey was standing in the middle of the very wide aisle that is perpendicular to the check outs. I wasn't paying attention to him too closely as I was chatting with the checker. I heard this voice saying, "Excuse me!" I didn't pay attention to it. Then I heard it a few more times, gradually getting louder. I looked over and she'd pushed her cart right up behind Trey, who at that moment was "zoning out" staring at something that caught his eye. I said, "Trey, come over here please." She pushed her cart so close up behind him that he fell over it in his rush to get to me. The lady shook her head and pursed her lips and was clearly annoyed like Trey did it on purpose.
It took all the patience I could muster not to walk over to her and explain that he's disabled and she had PLENTY of room for her cart. I don't know why she pushed it right up behind him like that. :confused3 The aisle was totally empty when he walked out there-he was there first. There was tons of room on either side of him. She could've gotten two carts side by side past him on either side! Maybe she was trying to prove something, but I don't know what it could've been.
I never saw how rude and ignorant people were until I got together with Bill. That woman had no right to act that way to Trey, you are so much more patient than I probably would have been. What was her problem pushing the cart so close to him like that? I want to shake her.
I also had an incident where this guy was yelling at Trey in a toy store. I rushed over there and he wasn't doing anything but watching his daughter ride one of those little rides by the exit. As soon as I got there, he started talking all sweetly to Trey. I didn't confront him, but what I did to him later well, let's just say I probably shouldn't repeat it on a forum. I think it was kind of bad.
I can only imagine what you had to say to him and he deserved every word of the tongue lashing.
Buzz had a friend who very mean to my friend that was disabled-story for another time. I made a complete idiot of myself b/c of this jerk. :sad2: It gets me all revved up when people are rude like that, but I guess no matter what people can be rude even if one isn't disabled.
Yes, it just seems more people are rude these days and that is sad.
Love your pins. We are about a month out from our DL trip. Reading your TR makes me soooo excited to get back to Disney!!
Bill has gone insane with the pins. He is on a muppets kick right now. I will have to post all the pins we have acquired since we got back from Disney. I bought myself one that is a lime green mickey head, I had to have it.

I can't wait to read your DL trip report. I replied to your PM.

That was so cool that you got the magic. I love stuff like that! We still have our Dream Fastpasses that we got 2 years ago. :cloud9:
I keep almost everything from our trips. Now I just have to start scrapbooking :rotfl:.

So glad to hear from ya. Sorry you didn't get to Kona or Le Cellier... there is always November, right?
I'm with you and the CM speaking that way to Bill. I would would be in total defense mode too.
Glad you had a nice linner at Rose and Crown.

Hi Kimmy!! We are doing LeCellier in November no matter what. We will do Kona when we are staying at the Poly Dec. 2009. Bill is so much more calm than I am in situations like that. We had a very nice linner at the Rose and Crown. I absolutely enjoyed the view.

I am enjoying your report, read the whole thing yesterday! I am really looking forward to hearing about SSW. I have been in WDW for the last 2 years during this but DH would have a fit if I spent our vacation stalking soap stars! :rotfl2: Last year I did sneak away long enough to catch Luke and Laura take the stage! Great moment!!!

Can't wait to hear more!

Hi MickeyCrazedMom!! Thank you so much for reading. WOW, if you read this TR all in one day you must be sick of us:rotfl2:. I have a lot to say about SSW. We were there when Luke and Laura were there too!! I loved it when they danced together.

So nice to see another update Tracy! I am very impressed with your ability to abandon "the plan" and just go with the flow. Sometimes it makes for a much more enjoyable day. I will try to remember this next time. :rolleyes1

Your pictures are fantastic! :thumbsup2

Hi Michelle, you should be impressed with Bill abandoning the plan, it made me a nervous wreck, lol. I am so bad about just going with the flow.

I'm really glad you didn't lose your PALental rights. They wouldn't do that the First Family anyway, would they?

We've never tried Rose & Crown but we love fish/chips and maybe we'll try that on our next trip in 4 months. We did eat at Le Cellier and were very disappointed this trip so maybe you made the right choice after all.

And the CM with the pirate sticker. Well she's lucky you didn't take it and then stick it to her forehead. My father has a physical disability and it really irks me when people treat him that way too. He's like Bill, kind of rolls with the punches, but I'm very sensitive to it.

It doesn't look like there are many people at Epcot in your photos. Was it that empty or are you just a good photographer?

I think you are right, they wouldn't take the PALrental rights away from the First Family, we took our duties very seriously. Bill had a ball waving at everyone :lmao:. I am sorry to hear that about your experience at the Le Cellier. I know we are still trying it, Bill really wants to.

I really think people don't understand how ignorant they are when they do those things to people with disabilities. Drives me insane.

Epcot was not empty that day, I try my best to keep people out of the pictures because I use them for my computer desktop pictures.

great update and pics. I ate at R&C once. it was good.

Thank you Scott, we liked the R&C a lot.

Wow! I was really taking a good look at the photos. Mr. Bill has some amazing baby blues!
Hi Gemini, yes he does. His eyes are what reeled me in :lmao:.

Great pictures.
Bill looks great in all the pirate stuff.
Pal Mickey and the wine.:lmao:

Hi Shmu, Bill loved that jersey, I really like it too. I seriously didn't even think about the wine being near our PAL baby until I saw the pic. I actually debated on whether to post it or not.

Another fabulous update!!Even if you did cancel Le Cellier. I think that is an offense that will show up on your permanent record on the Dis.
Hi Lynn, I am so worried about my permanent DIS record, is there any way to get that infraction taken off?
However , Rose and Crown food looked marvelous!!! Did it taste as good as it looked?

I'm sorry about the photographers ignorance. :sad2: I hope I have never been guilty of something like that unknowingly.

Your pictures are beautiful! Especially the sunset.

Lynn

The Rose and Crown food was very good in our opinion, I was happy we tried it.

I reread what I said about the photographer, I thought maybe I was being too harsh, but nope I was telling it like it was. She drove me nuts that day.

I have made it a goal to take as many sunset pictures as I can on the upcoming trip. That picture looks so much better bigger. I sometimes use it on as my desktop picture. It just makes me smile when I see it.

Hi Tracy and Bill! So glad to see you're enjoying EPCOT so much--its my fave park! We have yet to go with ADRs, we just see when we're hungry and what we're in the mood for. However, I love to eat at Morocco. But I've read so much about Le Cellier we may just have to try it!
Hi MagiKitty!! I love EPCOT, but I really can't pick a favorite park, I love them all. We are going to try to do different restaurants this next trip.
I know what you mean about the servings of fish and chips. We usually do CS in England, and we just share the individual serving. But that's because we're planning what to eat at the Patisserie in France.

Oh Tracy, I KNOW THOSE PEOPLE. I don't know which annoy me more, the ones that think my BF is mentally challenged or the ones that stare at him uncomfortably. Or the ones that think I'm his nurse. Or the ones that think we both must be deaf and can't hear what they're saying about us. GRRR...its just so frustrating to deal with their narrow minded thinking and prejudices. But really, they can't help their stupidity. They just don't know our happiness.

Great installments! Looking forward to the next one!
I knew you would know THOSE people. The people that think Bill is mentally challenged bother me the most. I am used to people staring, because of being pooh sized. The ones that think I am his nurse just crack me up.

I don't listen to what people say, apparently they are not as happy we are.

I will be doing another installment tonight or tomorrow, I want to step up with this trip report.

Great update but for some reason the pics arent showing up for me :confused3

Hi Jeminni, thanks for reading. I am not sure why the pics are not showing up for you. You could try to refresh the page and wait a bit to see if the pics load or if you still see red x's right click it and click on "show pictures". Other than that, I don't have a clue, I am sorry.

Tracey don't think your the only one. I have to sit down and plan out how I'm going go with the flow. That's why I have back up plans for my plans.

Heidi

Well I am in. I know about CP from my cuz. I sit for him when his mom needs to get out. Can't wait for more to read. Congrats on the pin trading. You should check out pinpics and dizpins. they are great pin trading sites.
Here is the address for dizpins. http://dizpins.com/ Then click on dizpins boards.

If go there my id on dizpins is Amiejoy
on pinpics it is AmyJoy.

MRYPPNS, I am like you. I have told him if we are going for 13 or 14 days there will be a plan, not a minute by minute one, maybe 15 minute intervels :lmao:.

Finally got caught up - what a WONDERFUL report!

WOW, you read it all and are still talking to me? I didn't put you in a sleep induced coma? Thank you so much for reading!!

AmyJoy, thank you for joining our TR. I know Bill goes on Pinpics and I think he has been to the other one too, but I will ask. Right now he doesn't have ones he wants to trade, he just keeps buying them to keep :rotfl:.

We went through Mouse Gears and picked up some pins:

OH - love the pins!!!! :wizard:

We both were not feeling up to spending all day and night at Epcot. We knew we needed to go back to the hotel relatively early and recuperate from the whirlwind we had been through. It is heck getting old :rotfl:. So what do we do now? We have an extra table service to use.

:rotfl2: I hear ya!!

It's good to know your limits too :)

I don’t know why we skipped Canada (Canadians please forgive us, I promise we will go there in November).

What??? That's it. I'm un-subbing

Just kidding :rotfl2:

Bill was so sweet, he was apologizing to me for my finger getting hurt. I said “you don’t have to say you are sorry, I wasn’t smart enough to get my finger out of the way”. We both laughed and decided to go toward France.

Awwww :goodvibes

I guess I am just very sensitive to this. Bill is so intelligent, patient, and sweet to people. He doesn’t seem to get upset when people act like this towards him, which happens often.

:sad2:

I would have taken the pirate sticker and asked for some extras :wizard:

She asked us our last name. So I just told her Bill’s, it is just easier doing things that way. She came back with this:
I can’t believe it, we got a Magical Moment. We were The First Family of the American Adventure!! Isn’t it silly how happy a piece of paper can make you feel if it has Minnie, Mickey, the castle, and the word “Magical” on it?

Sweet!

Thanks for the update :thumbsup2

The pics were great!

OH - love the pins!!!! :wizard:

Hi Blue, I will have to take pictures of the pins we (Bill) has purchased since we got back from WDW. I caught him looking at more last night :confused3, can we say "Pin Addiction"?

What??? That's it. I'm un-subbing

Just kidding :rotfl2:

Blue, I am so very sorry. I have scheduled our first full day in November at Epcot, going to the World Showcase. We are going to Canada first and will spend hours there, I promise :rolleyes1.

Thanks for the update :thumbsup2

The pics were great!

Thanks for continuing to read and post!!

I'm only just starting to know what that is all about :rolleyes1

I was just kidding ya :goodvibes

Pin trading is evil, LOL. I still blame it on Donna Lynn (just kidding, I adore her ). Bill is starting to affect me with it too. I have to not look at them when he is or I hear myself say "oohhh I want that one". The problem is we aren't getting any traders, we are just getting keepers.

I knew you were kidding Blue, I was just joking around :thumbsup2.

It was MGM Day # 1, yes that is right I called it MGM because that is what it was when we went there. Now here is where I forgot to write things down, so this installment is from memory, pictures, and asking Bill repeated questions about what happened that day.

Hey guess what? We didn’t make rope drop. Shocking isn’t it? I have no idea what time we made it to the park that day (I know, I know BAD TRACY BAD I am a disappointing trip report writer:sad2: ). We wandered around a bit. I really believe we wanted to mimic the people that stand with the map in the middle of the walk way that day . We really had no plans since we were originally supposed to go back to Animal Kingdom on this day.

We decided to grab a bite to eat and again Pal Mickey wouldn’t let us touch it until he gave his approval. Not much to approve, we got hot dogs and chips, but he insisted. Geez, you would think he thought he was special or something :confused3.

After our wonderful meal (Can you feel the sarcasm coming through the screen? yep, I thought you did :thumbsup2) we headed for Beauty and the Beast. We really enjoy this show and asked if we could be seated up front. We love to listen to 4 for a Dollar (I think that is their name, tell me if I am wrong), but always forget to buy the CD. I need to write that down somewhere, oh I just did .

Here are some pics from the show, the first one shows you how close we were:

Next we decided to do the Indiana Jones show. We took Christamae’s advice and asked if we could sit down in the front. Bill liked it there, he could still see everything and it was fun being close to the action. After the show was over, the “Bad Guy” was signing autographs for everyone and posed for a picture with Bill.

WDW2007Parkday5006Billandbadguyfrom.jpg

The “director” walked by and we asked if maybe the guy that played Indy would take a picture with Bill. He was farther over signing autographs, but we couldn’t get over that section. He told Matt (Indy) and after he had gotten done with everyone he came over to us.

WDW2007Parkday5007BillandIndy-Matt.jpg

Both “Indy” and “Bad Guy” were extremely friendly and seemed to genuinely like their jobs.

We had to go see Muppets 3D, we had hardly no wait at all. It is always fun. After the show we went to the Stage 1 Company store and Bill got 2 tee shirts, Animal and Kermit. He really wanted Fozzie, but he was nowhere to be found :sad1:.

Then we headed over to Lights, Motors, Action. We hadn’t seen this since Feb. 2006. Although we knew what was going to happen it was still fun watching it. I had to take a couple pics:

WDW2007Parkday5008LMA1.jpg

WDW2007Parkday5009LMA2.jpg

After the show was over, people were flooding out and we got in line for the elevator. While I was waiting I took this:

WDW2007Parkday5010Disneyplane.jpg

It was time to go out of the park and head for Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were eating at Boma that night. We had an uneventful bus ride and had to find out where the restaurant was.

Oh my goodness, we got off the elevator and there were people everywhere :crowded: . There was a huge line to even check in, we were a little early. I went up and tried to explain to them that Bill was in a motorized wheelchair (as I stated when I made the ressies) and it takes up a bit more room and I would prefer to sit next to him if I could.

This was our longest wait for an ADR at about 45 minutes. When they showed us the table, I thought how in the heck is Bill going to get in and out to go up to the buffet. The hostess told me that was the only table right now or we could go back and wait, I said I would make it work. I pushed the table toward the chairs we weren’t going to use and Bill made it in, but not by much.

The waiter came up and we couldn’t understand him very well. Bill wanted another Tommy’s Bahama Mama and I thought I would try one too. We were both 37 at that point and I didn’t have our ID with us, yes I know that is stupid, we should always carry it, but we didn’t have it on us. The waiter wanted to card Bill. I said “he is 37”, the waiter apologized then went away. Actually he shouldn’t have served Bill since he didn’t have ID, but he did.

We went through the buffet and got everything we wanted including dessert because we didn’t want to try to maneuver through the restaurant again. We got back to our table and there was a couple right behind us from New Jersey. They were lovely, talked to us a little bit, and the lady even asked if we wanted or needed anything when she was going back up through the line. We told her thank you, but we didn’t need anything.

WDW2007Parkday5011Boma.jpg

We started eating and I put Bill’s drink in his cup. He took a couple drinks and said it was strong. I told him mine wasn’t that strong, then took a sip of what he had left in the glass on the table. I think they didn’t put anything else BUT alcohol in his. It was pure booze. I asked him if he wanted me to get him a soda. He told me it was ok, we both were feeling good by the time we got done with dinner.

WDW2007Parkday5012BillatBoma.jpg

I know people love Boma, but I don’t think we will be going back, with the crowds, how hard it was to get Bill situated, it just isn’t worth the time. I took some randomly weird pics around Boma and we headed back “home” to Pop.

Next up…Did we get up in time to meet Ms. Lucci? Also, do you think I would get banned from Disney forever if I slapped a bus driver?

Well Tracy, I'm 51 and I've never been carded at BOMA. Now I'm upset. I guess Bill looks younger than I do.

We went to BOMA this trip too (haven't got that far in my TR) and I also don't think we'll go back again for awhile. It seemed much noisier and crowded this time. I can just imagine how much fun you guys had trying to navitage those narrow aisles between tables.

And we've never made a rope drop. I might do it to meet Ms. Lucci though. Can't wait to hear your next update.

Hi Faith, I wasn't carded either , Bill does look quite young though. That drink was STRONG!!

We also found Boma very crowded and extremely noisy. Bill can maneuver into the smallest places. I love watching him do it, it amazes me.

Oh we made sure to be there in time for Ms. Lucci, LOL. Thank you for continuing to read.

So happy to see the update. Looks like you had a great day at the Studios. Sorry Boma wasn't as accommodating as it should be. I have heard how "tight" it can be in there. Sometimes just being a bigger person at a restaurant set up like that can be hard, let alone for Bill and his chair. I really don't have too much interest in it anyways. It looks a little dark in there for me.

Can't wait to read about the soap weekend....

Hi Kimmy!! Boma was just a tight fit, we like to relax after a day in the parks and I think we were both a little antsy when we were there. I can understand why people like it there, but it just wasn't for us.

You will read about SSW this week. I already have it written up!!

I totally agree with the relaxing part. From what I have read on most trip reports this is not the place. :rotfl:
Thanks again for sharing your view.

Way to leave us with a cliffhanger, Tracy!!!

Anyway, I am not sure if I commented on this thread before, but I have been reading it and I really have been enjoying it! I love reading stories about families who genuinely love Disney and for whom the magic is really there... it is really inspiring and fun to read about. Can't wait to hear what happens next...

And about the carding thing? I get carded all the time... sure, I just turned 21, but still! Haha! :) J/K Anyway, maybe the waiter just had to look a little closer...?
