Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

You know, we ate dinner at Boma last year. I thought it was good, but not all that and a bag of chips good. I mean, if I were staying at AKL, I'd definately make ADR's for one night ... but not worth all the transportation hassles of getting there via Disney transport.

Umm your hot dog didn't fit your bun. They gave you a size 3 hot dog with a size 5 bun. Hate that

We love to listen to 4 for a Dollar (I think that is their name, tell me if I am wrong),
You are correct ...what would their name be if they were only a duo? Fifty Cents is already taken....how 'bout Buy 1 Get 1 Free

Maybe Bill could try harder next time to look like he was having fun :lmao:

We had to go see Muppets 3D, we had hardly no wait at all. It is always fun. After the show we went to the Stage 1 Company store and Bill got 2 tee shirts, Animal and Kermit. He really wanted Fozzie, but he was nowhere to be found :sad1:.

My DH has a Kermit one too...from the same shop.

The waiter wanted to card Bill. I said “he is 37”, the waiter apologized then went away. Actually he shouldn’t have served Bill since he didn’t have ID, but he did.
The waiter figured that since you're Bill's "Mom" it would be OK.

I know people love Boma, but I don’t think we will be going back,

Same here...I think we'll only go back when there is an other reason to be a AKL at dinner time...like an animal tour or something for the kids, then maybe Boma.

Way to leave us with a cliffhanger, Tracy!!!

Anyway, I am not sure if I commented on this thread before, but I have been reading it and I really have been enjoying it! I love reading stories about families who genuinely love Disney and for whom the magic is really there... it is really inspiring and fun to read about. Can't wait to hear what happens next...

And about the carding thing? I get carded all the time... sure, I just turned 21, but still! Haha! :) J/K Anyway, maybe the waiter just had to look a little closer...?

Hi lamagique!! Thank you so much for reading our TR, I am glad you like it. We adore WDW . It was a little dark in Boma, maybe the made Bill look younger?:lmao:.

Hi eyeheartgoofy!! I feel the same way, if we were staying at AKL I would go, otherwise no.

Hi MRYPPNS!! I never really looked at the hot dog pic, you are right!! You crack me up about 4 for a Dollar. I love that smile on Bill's face with the "bad guy", he looks so happy!! Bill loves the Muppets.

I was wondering who would be the first with the "mom" comment :rotfl2:.

You know that you're gonna get that forever now!!!

Question about next November...did you get any pin codes from Disney yet? I'm on the November code watch thread and someone just let me know that she got a 40% off code for Nov 9-21. We're gonna need a discount to stay at SSR this time around.

Was that an email or post card code? We got one last year, so I bet we won't get another one :sad1: . Well, good for them at least :rotfl:.

sorry Boma wasn't what u thought it would be. Live and learn is what I say. I was supposed to go there but canceled. Next time I do want to try it.

great pics. How nice Indy came over to say hi.

Hi Scott, it just wasn't easy for the wheelchair and we do like things more quiet at dinner, like you said live and learn. I am glad we did it once. It was nice of "Indy" to do that. His name was Matt and he looks a lot like Bill's chiropractor.

Hi Ashley, it's ok about Boma, we want to try the restaurants at least once. YAY on the P&P tickets . I hope you do a TR, I would love to read all about it!!

still lovin' this report. You guys sure do know how to have fun.
Sorry Boma was a little tough for you, but glad you got to try it.
And you really do know how to leave us hangin'...waiting for more. WTG!!

I am glad that you liked the Indie seats. You had a different Indiana Jones. Ours said that he usually takes off 6 weeks to 3 months...

:scared: you slapped a bus driver :scared: That should be a good story.

Great update Tracy! Love Pal Mickey's outfit when he is checking out your food. We bought our Pal Mickey a safari outfit this weekend! :)

I love "4 for a dollar" or whatever their name is. I wanted to get their CD also and totally forgot. I'll just have to go back!

Funny that Bill got carded! I got carded this weekend too! I am 35! I told the lady thanks but I don't think I look that young. She told me they are supposed to ask anyone who doesn't look at least 30! :rotfl: I didn't have my ID with me but I guess she believed me. ;)

We ate at Boma on Friday night. We were there early (5:00) so not too crowded but when we left it was a total zoo! I can't imagine Bill having to move his chair through the small aisles and crowds. I did enjoy the food there though I'm not sure what some things were. :confused3

Hi retiredkid!! Thank you so much for continuing to read this TR. Boma was really pretty and I did like the food, just a little too much for us with the crowds.

I will have another installment up with week.

Hi Christamae!! Thank you again for putting that info about the Indy show in your report. You will have to keep reading to find out what happened with the bus driver :rotfl:.

Hi Michelle!! That Pal Mickey outfit was the one KathyRN gave Bill (I miss her around the DISboards :sad1:). We intend to get the safari outfit too.

Woo hoo, you got carded too. I am jealous of you and Bill, like MRYPPNS said the Boma waiter probably thought I was Bill's mom so it was ok to serve him :confused3. I know what you mean about not knowing what some of the food was at Boma, I am glad you liked it though.

Another update!!!:cool1:

I was asked for ID the other day at WalMart. She had to make sure I was old enough to buy glue!!!:rotfl: I think she did it out of spite. I do NOT look like I'm even in my 20s. Oh Well made me feel young for a few seconds!!!;)

Surely you did not slap a bus driver!!! Just felt like it Huh??? Have any pictures of him/her? I'd like to compare and see if it was the same one I didn't have very nice thoughts toward!!!

Can't wait for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Off topic Tracey does Bill wear or ever have worn night braces?? If so does he have any tricks to make it any easier/better for Braeton? B just started wearing them Thurs. He did make it through the night last night:banana: but with a lot of wake ups tossing turning, me rubbing his back and finally we stuck Pluto between his legs!! I'm thinking maybe a pillow between the braces? They are just so bulky that they are uncomfortable. Please tell me you get used to this after a while. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:upsidedow

Hope all is well and by the way I'm loving Pal Mickeys outfit!!:goodvibes

I'm back and finally caught up! I've been laid low by that awful virus that's going around. Three weeks and I'm still dragging but at least the cough is finally subsiding.

So so sorry to hear that Bill needs additional surgery. I'll be saying extra prayers for you both.

I'm so excited - you're finally getting to the SSW portion of your trip. Can't wait to read all about it and compare your experiences with ours (and hopefully learn pointers for next time!).

Hey Tracy! Sorry about Boma. Did you like the food? It is very crowded and close in there. I wonder if they squeezed in extra tables after they became so popular?

Another fun update and of course you are a great report writer!

It sounds like you did some fun things at MGM (DHS, whatever!) We like Muppets too, but missed it this time.

Can't wait to hear all about SSW! Did you get any smooches?!:love1:

I call it MGM too. Probably always will-it just seems to roll off the tongue better than oh-what's the name of that park now? It just popped out of my head!! Disney's MGM Studios??? Anyway, it's MGM to me too!

If I never made it for rope drop at MGM, it'll be ok with me. That is a boring pre-show, although there was a funny moment when the directed was talking to me on our last day at MGM! Kind of embarrassed me.

We did make it to rope drop a few times and the line to RNR Coaster is already backed up to TOT after 5 mins of us walking up to it. :confused3 Where do those people come from? Just easier to skip getting up so early and do FP's imo.

I've never seen Beauty & the Beast. It looks awesome-your seats looked really good!!

Boma-we ate there a few years ago and I didn't like it. We won't be going back either. The funny thing though, at the next table, Trey (who was barely intelligible with his speech at the time) was just sure this girl was his speech therapist from school. She had her back to him and had this really long blond hair like his therapist.

He kept insisting she was Susan and "wanna go say hi." It was so cute-I wasn't sure how to handle it though. I didn't want to barge in on their family's dinner (it was obvious she was with her parents and only about 18 years old or so-from where I was sitting, I could see her face). And if he saw her face, he'd realize he was wrong. At that point in his life, when he spoke, I tried really hard to reinforce what he was saying to build his confidence and let him know I understood him. So I just kept saying we'd go say hi later. And pretty soon, they left and Trey was fine with that.

Sometimes people say how sad it is that I have a child that is disabled. I've generally given up trying to make them see that it is a gift b/c they just don't "get" it. This incident probably seems like no big deal to other parents-Trey was 6 at the time, but to me, I was in the presence of a miracle. I was so happy that night, but I still won't go back to Boma. I just didn't like it. Too noisy, I didn't like the atmosphere or the odd foods they had and our server was horrible.

Excellent update and pictures as always!! :thumbsup2

I just have to say that I found your TR last night and spent several hours reading the entire thing. You two are such an amazing couple, and through your descriptions, I really felt like I was right there with you. Can't wait to read more, and I'm glad that you all are planning more trips. :)

Hey there Tracy and Bill!

I know its goofy of me, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Beauty and the Beast. Last time, we had the super up close seats too. I always cry!

We love the Muppets 3-D too. I just wish they had more merchandise to buy.

Good to hear about Boma! I guess we won't go there either, if its as narrow and difficult to maneuver as some people have said. We're hoping to catch free dining and we'll be relying on your reviews before we make our ADRs!

My mother got the 40% postcard last week...I called Disney and asked if I had a code, they said no. The offer is non-transferable, so it has been irking me for days. But I still hope! We'd love to stay onsite, but if its a matter of budget, the hotel is the first thing we sacrifice.

Love your last installment! Looking forward to more!

I know who this woman is!!!! I am from St. Louis and I am pretty sure I know who this woman is! BTW, I just discovered your TR about 2 days ago and I am LOVING it!!!! You two are the PERFECT couple! I am up to about page 35 and I look forward to reading the entire report.

Bill never had to wear night braces, he did suggest you put a pillow between his legs though. Bill used to have casts he had to sleep with after his many surgeries, you do get used to it.

I loved Pal Mickey's outfit too, that was the one KathyRN got him.

I'm back and finally caught up! I've been laid low by that awful virus that's going around. Three weeks and I'm still dragging but at least the cough is finally subsiding.

Hi Ricky's Girl!! So sorry to here that you were sick, that is really going around lately. Thank you for the prayers. I don't know if you will get any pointers about SSW, but we had fun and are going back this year.

Hey Tracy! Sorry about Boma. Did you like the food? It is very crowded and close in there. I wonder if they squeezed in extra tables after they became so popular?

Hi Monica!! We did like the food at Boma, it was just stressful. You are so sweet. We always try to go to Muppets 3D. You will have to wait to see what happened at SSW.
