Kimmy - Ace was so happy to see us, he has been sleeping like crazy ever since he got home.

As for the bad news in my last installment that was about Bill having to retake that test with 4 less days than everyone else....

Seems that we never get anywhere on time. I decided to color my hair; I couldn’t let Mickey see my grays. People in our apartment building were asking all sorts of questions about the trip and Disney World. Ace was happy to go back to the day care/boarding facility. Little did he know that his mommy and daddy were abandoning him for 13 days.

Leaving between 1 and 2pm became leaving between 3 and 4pm.

As usual, that had me stressed, but Bill turned on Sirius 08 – “the big 80’s”. The simplistic lyrics and goofy singing put me in a great mood. Bill and I were having fun chatting with no computers near us. Bill was singing along with some of the songs but changing the verses to something about Disney.

Loverboy’s “Working for the Weekend” became “Working to get to Disney”

Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again on My Own” became “Here I Go Again to get to Disney”

Last but not least Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” turned into “Let’s go to Disney”

**Not sure if I should keep the last one up there. Prince has went crazy lately suing fans for using his name and anything to do with his lyrics. Hmmm, aren’t the fans the people that helped him become who he is?? (Sorry got off track there for a minute).

We made it safely to the Marriott, and decided to park first then just go check in, we park and fly from there. A third of the parking lot was being redone, so space was limited. We got a spot pretty far from the lobby, but no big deal. Usually they give us a room in the main tower right by the lobby, not this time. Ok again no big deal. We checked the room number and followed the signs. We walked and walked and walked.

Hey the only time I have to walk this far for a room is at a Disney World resort!! This is a good sign to me, I told Bill that if we were hiking around the Marriott, chances are we will have a great room at Pop, right?

I had called Pop on Thursday November 1st, to confirm that all of Bill’s special needs were listed in the special requests portion of our reservation. I was hoping there was not a repeat of last year’s problems.

We were both tired and I asked if we could just go to the restaurant in the hotel. The thought of driving into downtown St. Louis on a friday night not knowing where I was going was not something I was looking forward to.

The waitress in the hotel's restaurant tried to put us in an impossible place for Bill to get into (this is a reoccurring theme during our trip). I told her no, it would not work unless I moved the table around. I moved things the way I wanted them and we went on with dinner.

Before we knew it, it was time for bed. I didn’t think I would be able to sleep, but every time I stay at that Marriott I am like those people in the Serta mattress commercials. As soon as I laid down, I was out like a light. That bed is so comfy.

NEXT INSTALLMENT… Would there be an accessible shuttle, did I lose any paperwork, do the Southwest people know how to take care of Bill’s chair?? Find out soon…

I was laughing at the Disneyfied versions of the 80's songs - love it!

That bed sure looks comfy - now I'm tired.

Hi Michelle, Bill always finds ways to make me smile. That bed was comfy. I told him on the next trip I want to spend two days in St. Louis then we can get one good nights sleep before walking all around Disney World .

Thanks Lee, I am proud of Bill too. He works so hard for his grades, he has a 3.757 gpa right now and wants to keep it that way.

WOW! Great update!! I just Love the songs!!!!
And Oh THAT BED Wonder if they would hire me to be a mattress tester??? The night before we flew out our WISH org put us upat the Marriot in Houston and OOOOOOHHHHH It was WONDERFULL, but Braeton was not feeling well and we didn't get but a few hours of sleep. I wonder if we could redo that part???
maybe we should just redo the whole trip you know! ?

Hey there Tracy and Bill! Welcome back! Just got back on Saturday night and finally caught up on all the posts!

I love those Marriott beds too...we stayed in one outside DC and I just didn't want to leave. Those beds should be illegal! Makes me want to stay and do nothing!

Looking forward to your next installment....
